Chapter 93
Hearing that, Brianna decided not to hide anything anymore.
“Why did you go to see Caroline when you were moving?” Brianna demanded.
“Huh?” Darcy blinked her big eyes, playing innocent. “I really don’t know. Maybe Dad just wanted to let Gabrielle know we were moving.”
She looked perfectly well–mannered and obedient, acting all sweet and polite.
Brianna was genuinely clueless about what was happening, and for a second, she was completely stumped.
Darcy smirked, clearly pleased with herself as she watched Brianna struggle for words.
“Brianna, Dad’s never meant you any harm. You shouldn’t always aseme the worst about him,” Darcy said.
As Darcy spoke, the onlookers began casting sidelong glances at Brianna.
Their gazes toward Brianna grew noticeably strange.
“Yeah, Brianna, you really should try to understand your dad’s good intentions,” Blanca added, stirring things up.
Brianna rolled her eyes.
“Seriously? What good intentions? I don’t get it,” Brianna scoffed.
Seeing the move was already underway, Brandon didn’t feel like hanging around anymore.
“Alright, let’s go,” he said to Brianna.
“Brandon…” Darcy hurriedly called out.
She bit her lip, clearly struggling to speak, holding back as if the words were stuck in her throat.
“What is it? Have you decided on your terms?” Brandon asked, his voice cold as ice.
Darcy stared at him, her gaze brimming with pain.
She just stood there, not saying a word for ages, and when she finally tried to speak, her eyes grew misty before she could even get the words out.
Blanca stepped in to ease the tension, speaking in a hushed tone.
“Brandon, Darcy’s never even
anyone before. With everything that’s happened, she’s really overwhelmed and doesn’t
know what to do. Could you give her a little time?” Blanca pleaded.
Brianna sneered quietly from the sidelines.
‘Now she decides to whisper?‘ Brianna thought. ‘Wasn’t hete/booming just a moment ago?‘
Brandon wasn’t as confrontational as he was yesterday.
He replied with a cold, “Fine.”
Then he added, “Do it soon. It’ll be better for you.”
He wasn’t subtle about what he meant.

Chapter 93
The earlier she went through with the abortion, the less it would hurt her physically.
Darcy bit her lip, struggling to keep her tears from falling.
She looked at Brandon with pleading eyes.
“Brandon, can I have a word with you?” Darcy asked softly.
Brandon nodded.
Darcy turned and headed for the backyard.
Brandon followed her, hands in his pockets.
Brianna watched them walk away, then took out her phone, bored out of her mind.
“Do you think you’ve won?” Blanca suddenly spoke up, her eyes half narrowed as she stared at Brianna, resentment written
all over her face.
Brianna held her phone, giving Blanca a defiant look. “What else? Isn’t it obvious?”
Blanca gave a mocking laugh.
“This isn’t over,” she snapped.
“Oh, really?” Brianna crossed her arms, a smirk playing on her lips. “Looks like you still don’t know what the Levy family is capable of.”
She deliberately put on an air of superiority.
She wasn’t about to let this family get the upper hand.
“The game’s not over yet. Let’s see who gets the last laugh,” Blanca sneered..
Brianna’s anger flared.
“You think the tricks you used on Whitney will work on Brandon? You’re barking up the wrong tree,” Brianna retorted.
Blanca’s glare was downright poisonous, her anger barely contained as Brianna struck a nerve.
“You’re nothing but a pawn to the Levy family. Brandon just needed a trophy wife, and you happened to be the lucky pick,” Blanca sneered.
“So what? At least I’m playing the game–while you can’t even get in,” Brianna shot back, her eyes full of contempt as she stared at Blanca.
She realized she was really leveling up her arguing skills lately.
Right at that moment, Brandon walked back from the yard.
Brianna peeked around, but Darcy was nowhere in sight.
(
“Let’s go, Brandon said, his expression completely blank.
Brianna gave Blanca a bright, deliberate smile.
“You think you can finish moving in three days? I’ll be back then to claim the house. I’m putting it up for sale,” Brianna said.
She smirked, feeling victorious.

Chapter 93
Blanca gave a tight, insincere smile. “Whatever.”
Brandon nodded politely to Blanca, then he and Brianna walked away.
As they walked out of the neighborhood, Brianna felt a wave of relief and happiness wash over her.
Who knew playing the villain could be so satisfying?‘ Brianna thought.
Back in the car. Brianna asked, “Where is the driver picking you up?”
Brandon gave her a confused look. “You’re not going home?”
“I want to go see my grandma,” Brianna replied..
With her understanding of the Meyers family, Brianna knew that whenever they showed up at the Harper house, it was never for anything good.
“I’ll go with you,” Brandon offered.
“No, that’s really not necessary,” Brianna shot back,
“We’re going, end of discussion,” Brandon said, his voice so firm it was clear she had no say in the matter.
Brianna fell silent.
From what she knew about Brandon, once he made a decision, nothing she said would ever change his mind.
By the time they got back to the Harper house, it was already past nine.
Neither of them had even had dinner yet.
Mitch and Vickie were both surprised to see Brandon.
“Brandon, come on in,” Mitch said politely.
“No need to be so formal, Mitch. We’re family,” Brandon replied, completely at ease.
Caroline was lounging on the sofa, and the moment she spotted Brianna, her whole face broke into a beaming smile.
“Brianna, you’re finally home! What took you so long?” Caroline called out.
Brianna stepped into the living room.
“Caroline, how have you been feeling lately?” Brandon asked with a warm smile.
“Oh, thanks to you, I’m much better,” Caroline replied, her tone polite but with a hint of sarcasm.
The whole family sat down together on the sofa.
“Why are you guys showing up so late?” Mitch asked, looking genuinely confused.
‘Hope the Meyers family didn’t come around to mess with Brianna again, Mitch thought.
Brianna didn’t rush to answer Mitch. Instead, she turned to the housekeeper and said, “Ember, would two bowls of pasta? For one, please make it lighter–use less oil, less salt, and just a little chili.”
“You guys haven’t eaten yet?” Vickie asked.
“Yeah, Brianna replied. “We stopped by the Meyers place before coming over.”

Chapter 93
“Why did you go to the Meyers house?” Caroline asked.
Brianna could tell from Caroline’s worried expression that trouble was brewing. She knew the Meyers family never brought good news when they showed up.
“Yesterday, we told them to pack up and hand the house back to me, so I’m guessing that’s why they showed up again today?”
Brianna said.
Caroline shot a quick look at Brandon.
She thought, ‘It’s not right to air our family business with someone else here!
“Yeah, your dad and his people came over, claiming the house was his,” Mitch said, just brushing it off like it was nothing.
“Oh, it’s his? Then why’s he packing up and leaving?” Brianna snorted.
“So, what made you ask them to move out?” Caroline asked.
Everyone in the family kept Darcy’s pregnancy from Caroline, so she was completely in the dark about anything between Brandon and Darcy.
“It’s about Unity Group,” Brianna said, just making something up on the spot.
Brandon realized Caroline was still in the dark about what happened between him and Darcy, so he tactfully kept quiet, not saying a word.
“Oh, by the way, you asked them to hand over all their Unity Group shares, right? Did it go through?” Caroline asked.
“Yeah, it’s all been transferred. They were here earlier, gloating about it for quite a while,” Vickie said, rolling her eyes.
“Why did you have them transfer the shares? Was that your doing?” Brandon asked, his eyes narrowing as he sensed something wasn’t right.
“Mm–hmm,” Brianna answered vaguely, clearly not wanting to get into it.
“Why did you have them transfer the shares?” Brandon asked, frowning in confusion.
He couldn’t wrap his head around her reasoning.
‘She hates Blanca running Unity Group, so why would she hand it over like that?‘ Brandon thought, baffled.
Brianna realized she couldn’t hide it anymore. With her family right there, she didn’t want things to get awkward between her and Brandon, and she definitely didn’t want them worrying.
Plus, she wanted to see if Brandon would actually cut Darcy some slack when it really counted.
So, she briefly explained her plan with Tristan.
Brandon listened, his face utterly blank. He didn’t show a hint of emotion.
It wasn’t until Brianna and Brandon finally left the Harper house.
As soon as they got in the car, Brandon’s face was cold, his whole presence radiating danger.
“What else are you hiding from me?” Brandon asked.
