The Year I Was the Other Woman To Myself novel Chapter 830

"I can tell you."

Theodore scowled. "Your conditions?"

"My conditions are..." Heather let out a wet hiccup, glanced back at Penelope who had just arrived, and locked eyes with Theodore. "Simple. You... you sleep with me for one night!"

Theodore's hand shot out, wrapping like a steel vise around her throat. He threw her against the balcony railing with such force that, had the barrier not been there, she would have plummeted over the edge.

The assault was so sudden that all the blood instantly drained from Heather's face.

"I don't believe you'd actually throw me..."

Before she could finish the sentence, Theodore shoved harder, arching her upper body precariously over the deadly drop. Staring up at him from that angle, she saw the unfiltered, homicidal darkness in his eyes.

Maybe she had miscalculated. This man might actually throw his own life away just to send them to hell.

She felt herself slipping, the gravity pulling her down. But in that split second, a twisted sense of liberation washed over her. She let go of his arm, throwing her hands out to embrace the fall.

Penelope saw the shift in Heather's demeanor and sprinted forward, pulling Heather back to safety while shoving Theodore away.

The girl wasn't afraid of dying. Threatening someone who craved death with a lethal fall was completely useless.

But Penelope wasn't about to let the disrespect slide. The second she yanked Heather back, she unleashed a blistering slap across her face.

"You're disgusting!"

Meanwhile, Natalie Taylor returned to her hotel from the film set. She had just washed up for bed when her phone rang.

She checked the screen—an unknown number.

"Natalie? Is that you?"

It was a woman's voice, frantic and completely out of breath.

"Speaking. Who's this?"

"It's Lola Miller. I..."

"I'm fine... You need to figure out how to save Marico..."

Natalie ignored her protests, hoisted her up by the arm, and half-dragged her toward the car.

"The cops are looking for me... I... I can't go to a hospital..."

Natalie fell silent for a moment. "I'll take you to an underground clinic."

"I attacked someone really powerful... I'll drag you down with me... Marico is only in jail because of me..."

"Save your breath. We need to stop the bleeding first."

Natalie found a shady, unlicensed clinic. Thankfully, the back-alley doctor didn't ask questions. He cleaned and stitched Lola's head wound right there.

After handing over some antibiotics, the doctor shooed them out, assuring them it was just a surface wound and nothing life-threatening.

Seeing that Lola had stabilized, Natalie finally allowed herself to exhale.
