The Unwavering Heart That Broke (Nathalie and Lance) novel Chapter 702

Chapter 702

Chapter 702

Inside the bungalow, a pungent stench of medicinal chemicals and decay assaulted their senses. Madonna pulled out a handkerchief, firmly covering her nose and mouth as she bypassed the inner door. She immediately spotted a figure sprawled across the bed, screaming hoarsely.

“Help… somebody help me!”

Hearing footsteps, the figure stopped screaming. She struggled to lift her head, and upon recognizing Madonna, immediately reached out a desperate hand.

“Save me! Madonna, please save me!’

Madonna stumbled backward, her face twisting in pure horror.

The creature in front of her could barely be called human anymore.

Felice was still wearing her hospital gown, but it was now covered in grime and dried blood. Her hair was a matted bird’s nest, and one of her eyes was a ruined, bloody mess, weeping tears of pure crimson. She was emaciated to the bone, looking entirely like a ghoul.

Nicol crossed his arms. “She used poison to harm Nathalie and Lance, so I made sure she got a taste of the exact same toxin. I didn’t expect it to completely melt one of her eyes. Tsk, looks like my dosage was a bit

off.”

“Madonna, you have to save me! I’m in absolute agony. I’m begging you, please save me! I don’t want to stay here anymore. I’ll go abroad, I’ll leave and never come back. Just please let me go…”

Felice’s voice was violently raspy as she begged endlessly. Her legs were completely useless now. Lance had made it clear that she needed to

experience Jasper’s exact suffering.

Since Jasper could no longer stand, it was only fitting that his mother

shared the same fate.

Madonna’s initial shock quickly faded. Staring at Felice, she suddenly felt that this level of torture wasn’t nearly enough.

“Tell me, why did you poison Jasper?” Madonna demanded coldly.

Felice shook her head frantically. “I didn’t! I never poisoned Jasper. He’s my son, how could I ever poison him? Someone is setting me up!”

“It was Nathalie! It was definitely that bitch setting me up!” Felice suddenly screamed, as if she had found the perfect outlet for her misery. “That bitch Nathalie poisoned Jasper! She always hated him because he took away Lance’s attention. She resented Jasper, so she poisoned him. Yes, that has to be it!”

Nicol’s expression darkened. “She’s completely lost her mind.”

Naturally, Madonna didn’t believe a single word of it, and she knew Lance would never allow anyone who hurt Jasper to live comfortably.

She spoke with absolute finality. “If she’s gone insane, then there’s no reason to keep her here. Send her straight to the asylum.”

Once locked away in St. Dymphna’s Private Asylum, Felice would truly learn what it meant to beg for death.

“No!”

Hearing the verdict, Felice shrieked, thrashing on the bed as she tried desperately to grab Madonna.

“You can’t do this to rne! I brought merit to the Adams family! I gave birth to Jackson’s child! Didn’t you all love Jackson the most? I was his wife, you can’t treat me like this! If he knew, he would never forgive you!”

Madonna’s voice cracked like a whip. “I only wish he could come back to settle the score with me!”

If only Jackson could come back to life. What a blessing that would be

Chapter 702

But it was nothing more than a delusion.

Madonna closed her eyes in deep agony. “Don’t let her die easily. She will spend the rest of her life slowly atoning for what she’s done.”

Nicol chuckled. “Like mother, like son. You both give the exact same orders.”

Madonna turned around, overwhelmed with bitter regret. To think she had once wavered, actually trying to set Lance up with this vile, wicked

woman. She had been an utter fool.

“No! You can’t! You can’t do this to me! I’m the one who gave the Adams family Jackson’s child! If you do this, Jackson will never let you get away

with it!”

Felice screamed frantically, trying to drag her broken body off the bed to grab Madonna. But with zero strength in her lower half, she couldn’t move

an inch.

All she could do was howl helplessly, desperate to make Madonna change her mind.

When it became clear Madonna wasn’t going to budge, Felice resorted to hysterical cursing. “Bitch! It’s all that bitch Nathalie’s fault! She should have died a long time ago! Why isn’t she dead yet?! If it wasn’t for her, I never would have been kicked out. Lance would have treated me better and better. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be like this!”

“It’s all because of her! The more you care about her, the more I hate her! If you want to blame someone, blame her! I poisoned Jasper because I hated her so much! I threatened Lance because I hated her! It’s all because of her! It’s all her fault…”

Madonna didn’t have the patience to listen to a lunatic’s ravings.

Stepping out of the bungalow, the breeze swept away the suffocating stench of blood and decay. She tilted her head up, taking a deep breath before speaking. “Don’t let her die, but don’t let her live in peace either.

Nicol nodded. “Don’t worry. After all the sins she’s committed, a life worse than death is the perfect ending for her.”

The car started, and Madonna departed.

Nicol made the arrangements, having his men drag Felice straight back to Cabinda to be locked inside St. Dymphna’s Private Asylum.

Back at the hospital.

The heavy tension from earlier had completely vanished.

Nathalie looked down and typed. The robotic female voice echoed in the room. “We’re going back soon. Do you have a way to send Great-Grandma away?”

Lance hummed in response. “I’m already making the arrangements. If all goes well, she’ll leave tomorrow.”

Nathalie typed her question: “Where to?”

Lance replied, “She mentioned wanting to visit her old home. I’ll have someone take her back. She’ll probably stay there for a while, which gives us more time to recover.”

Nathalie let out a small breath of relief.

As long as it was handled.

That evening, Madonna returned. She had bought Lance’s favorite dishes, though the atmosphere in the hospital room remained somewhat stifled. Her tone sounded perfectly normal. “Lance, try this Chicken Broth. It’s excellent for recovering your strength.”

Lance accepted it. “Thank you.”

Madonna smiled. “Why are you being so polite with me? By the way,

where is Ellie?”

“She found some local spot she wanted to try,” Lance said. “Said she had to go taste it before it was too late.”

Madonna nodded warmly. “She has such a bright, bubbly personality. Her parents raised her very well.”

Lance said nothing.

Madonna pressed on. “After spending this time together, what do you

think of her?”

“Madonna.”

Lance’s tone dropped significantly. “What exactly are you trying to say?”

Madonna paused slightly. Ignoring the fact that Nathalie was sitting right there, she pushed forward. “I think she’s wonderful. She’s a skilled doctor, and she has such a lively, adorable personality. You two…”

Clang!

Lance set his silverware down on the table, the sharp sound echoing through the room.

“I’ve said it before. I am not getting a divorce.”

His voice was dangerously low, a mocking smirk curling his lips. “Besides, why would a perfectly good girl want to waste her life on a blind, divorced man?”
