Chapter Open Fifty Sec
He leaned closer to the window.
“Do you truly believe I would travel with only a few warriors while my queen is beside me?”
Rafe’s expression changed. Démon’s smile widened.
“Especially while transporting a prisoner?”
The hope disappeared from Rafe’s face. His eyes moved quickly toward the forest. He listened. At first, there was only silence.
Then… A growl came from the shadows. Another answered it. Then another. One by one, Rogue Kingdom warriors stepped out from between the trees.
Dozens of them. Their eyes glowed in the fading light. Their weapons were already drawn. The feral rogues suddenly found themselves surrounded. Damon never looked away from Rafe.
“You should understand something,” he said quietly. “You are not the bait they came to rescue.” Rafe
swallowed.
“You are the bait I used to bring them to me.”
The attack ended almost as soon as it began. The hidden warriors were among the best fighters in the Rogue Kingdom.
They had trained under Damon and Conall for years. They knew how feral rogues moved. How they attacked, How they ignored pain. And with their king fighting beside them, the feral wolves stood no
chance.
They looked like untrained pups facing seasoned warriors. Damon shifted into Cerberus. The massive wolf tore through the attackers without hesitation. Willow remained near the wagon, protected by several elite guards, but she did not hide.
Winter fought with her, fast and precise. Conall commanded the left side of the formation while his warriors closed off the escape route.
Within minutes… The road fell silent. Every feral rogue was dead. Not one member of the Rogue Kingdom had been seriously injured.
Rafe sat inside, pale and trembling. His brief hope of escape had disappeared so quickly that it almost seemed cruel. Damon shifted back and walked toward him. Blood covered his arms and chest.
“You were laughing earlier,” Damon said.
Rafe looked away.
“What happened?”
Rafe remained silent. Damon leaned closer.
“No one is coming to save you.”
He smiled.
“Remember that.”

The convoy resumed its journey soon after. Damon. Willow. Conall. The warriors. And Rafe. All of them Teached the Rogue Kingdom safely.
The moment they crossed the border, the pack gathered. Word had already spread that their king and future queen were returning,
Pack members lined the main road, Warriors stood in formation. Families walted outside their homes. Pups sat on their parents’ shoulders, trying to see over the crowd.
At first, the welcome was filled with cheers. Then everyone noticed the transport. Damon ordered the guards to bring Rafe forward.
The wounded wolf was dragged and thrown onto the ground before the gathered pack. Rafe groaned but did not have enough strength to rise. Damon stepped forward. The cheering stopped. His voice carried across the entire courtyard.
“This wolf is Rafe.”
The crowd murmured.
“He is the one who attacked your future Queen.”
Silence spread through the pack.
“He nearly killed her before she ever had the chance to step into this kingdom as your queen.”
Growls began rising from the crowd. Willow stood beside Damon, suddenly aware of hundreds of furious eyes turning toward the wolf on the ground. Damon continued.
“He conspired with enemies. He betrayed his pack. He helped rogues attack Diana, the Luna Queen. And when he could not reach her…”
His voice dropped.
“He attacked my mate.”
The growls became louder, Rafe tried to crawl backward. He did not get far. Damon looked down at him with complete indifference.
Then he turned toward his people.
“He belongs to you.”
For one second… No one moved. Then the pack surged forward. Warriors reached Rafe first. Then hunters. Then Omegas. Even elders stepped from the crowd.
Fists struck him. Boots kicked him. Claws tore into his already wounded body.
Rafe screamed. His cries echoed across the courtyard. He begged. He pleaded. He called for Damon. He called for Willow.
He called for anyone to help him. No one did.
The entire Rogue Kingdom had heard their future queen attack. Now they were being given the wolf responsible. And they showed him no mercy. Willow watched in stunned silence. She had expected anger.
