Chapter One Hundred Twelve

Willow didn’t even realize she was on her feet until the chair behind her scraped loudly against the floor.

The sudden movement made a few of the pups pause mid-sentence, their chatter fading as they looked up at her. But Willow wasn’t looking at them. She wasn’t seeing the dining hall anymore. Her world had narrowed into one thing-One voice.

“Willow-”

Her heart slammed painfully against her chest.

“Talon?”

And then everything came rushing in at once. She turned sharply Searching-Breathing faster-

“Damon!”

Her voice cut through the hall-sharp, urgent, filled with something that made every wolf in the room still. Across the room, Damon froze mid-step. He had just started walking back toward her with a tray in hand. But the moment he heard her- Something shifted.

The bond. Fear. Real fear. He dropped the tray without hesitation. Plates shattered against the floor.

No one cared. He was already moving.

“What happened, my mate?” he asked the moment he reached her, his voice low but tight, eyes scanning her for injuries.

“It’s Talon,” Willow said quickly, grabbing his arm.

Her fingers trembled. “He mindlinked me–he and Diana are coming here.”

Damon’s body went rigid.

“They’re being chased by feral rogues,” she continued, her voice rushing now. “They’re close-very close.” A breath. Then-

“Diana is injured.” Silence hit. Hard.

“What?” Damon’s voice dropped-dangerous, disbelieving.

“Damon!” Willow snapped, shaking his arm. “Tell your guards not to attack them!”

A pause-her eyes locking onto his. “We can ask questions later!”

That snapped him out of it. Damon closed his eyes briefly- Then his aura surged outward, commanding,

absolute.

All border guards-listen carefully.

His mindlink spread instantly across the Rogue Kingdom.

If you see the Alpha King of Black Howler and his Luna-do not attack.

A pause.

They are to be allowed entry.

A second later-The response came.

My king-no one has arrived yet.

Then- Another voice. Urgent.

My king-two wolves approaching fast.

A beat.

Feral rogues behind them.

Damon’s eyes snapped open.

“They’re here.” He turned sharply.

“Let them in,” he ordered instantly through the link. “Kill anything chasing them.”

Then louder- “Conall.”

Conall was already on his feet. “We’re going to the border.”

“I’ll come with you.” Damon turned-Already knowing who that voice belonged to. Willow stood there. Determined. Unmoving.

“My mate,” Damon said, stepping closer, voice softer but firm, “you should stay here.” A pause. “There are rogues involved.” His jaw tightened. “You can go to the bunker with the rest of the pack.”

Willow didn’t blink.

“I. will. go. with you.” Each word deliberate. Unyielding.

“That’s my brother, Damon.” Her voice cracked slightly-But she didn’t step back.

“And Diana is injured.” A breath. “You think Talon will be calm when he gets here? Do you really think he’s going to let you or anyone from your pack-get near her right now?” Willow said, her voice firm but edged with urgency as she looked at Damon.

“No,” she continued more quietly, but with certainty. “He won’t. He’ll fight,” she said, her voice dropping,” he’ll fight every single one of you if he has to.”

Her eyes lifted back to Damon.

“To the death.” A pause. “Before he lets anyone touch Diana.”

Willow’s expression softened for just a moment-but the worry in her eyes didn’t fade.

“Right now… he’s not thinking as an Alpha King,” she added. “He’s not thinking about alliances, or territories, or consequences. He’s thinking like a mate who thinks he’s about to lose everything.” She looked at Damon, steady and serious.

“And that kind of fear?” A small shake of her head. “It doesn’t listen to reason.”

Damon didn’t answer. Because he already knew.

Willow continued. “And the last thing we need is him doing something reckless in your territory.”

Silence stretched between them. Damon studied her. Really studied her. Then- He nodded once.

“Fine.”

He turned sharply.

“Dante!”

Dante stepped forward immediately.

“Take the pack to the bunker.”

Damon’s voice hardened.

“And secure it. In case this turns into something bigger.”

“Understood, my king.” Dante responded.

Within seconds, the hall erupted into controlled movement. Wolves guiding others. Pups being ushered away. Doors opening. Closing- And just like that- The chaos shifted into preparation.

“Let’s go.” Damon didn’t wait. They ran. Out of the pack house. Into the open. Then- They shifted. Cerberus surged forward-Massive. Powerful. Beside him- Fang. And then- Winter. The three wolves tore through the land at full speed. The air grew sharper as they neared the border. The scent hit them first. Blood. Feral rogues. And then-Them. Two wolves. Running. Barely holding on.

“Fenrir…” Willow’s heart clenched. “And Artemis…”

They were fast-Still powerful- But there was something wrong. Artemis’s movements were uneven. And
