The Rose He Killed novel Chapter 278

Chapter 246: Camille’s Curses-1

Camille POV

“She is my sister,” Olivier said. He did not shout, but the quiet weight in his voice slammed into the room and closed the conversation entirely. “And you tried to weaponize our mother’s death and my father’s grief to hurt her. I have been monitoring your phone since Bella told me about your earlier whispers. I waited to see if you would stop on your own but you didn’t.”

I stared at him, my breath coming in short, sharp gasps.

“I won’t be standing beside someone who does that,” Olivier said, looking right through me. “Not now, not ever.”

The outcome was clear and immediate. My belongings were already packed into the heavy designer suitcases sitting right by his feet. Olivier was not giving me until tomorrow. He was throwing me out tonight.

I swallowed hard, staring at the bags that held every piece of my life I had left here. I turned back to Olivier, my hands balled into tight fists

“You think you are being noble, Olivier?” I hissed, my voice shaking with rage. “You think she cares about your little family reunion? She is an outsider! She does not have your blood, she does not know our world, and you are throwing away everything we planned for a woman who spent her whole life across the ocean!”

Olivier did not move. He stood with his arms crossed over his chest, his eyes completely dark. “She does have our blood, Camille. That is the entire point. And she built her own empire from nothing while you spent two years trying to climb into mine.”

“I loved you!” I shouted, the words tearing out of my throat. “I did every single thing for you! I went to those boring galas, I talked to those ancient board members, and I smiled at your father even when he looked right through me. I did the dirty work so you could keep your hands clean!”

“No,” Olivier said, his voice dropping into a dangerous whisper, “You did it for the title. You did it because you wanted to be the most powerful woman in Lyon. Do not use the word love to cover up a bad business. play.”

“You are a monster,” I whispered, stepping closer to him, my heels clicking loudly against the hardwood floor. “A cold, unfeeling monster. Just like your father. You will sit in that massive office all by yourself, with your new sister, and you will realize too late that I was the only person who actually had your back.”

“My back?” Olivier let out a short, mocking laugh. “You went behind my back to a trash journalist. You tried to start a public war the exact same week my father is trying to honor a dead woman’s memory. If that article had run, the Marchetti stock would have dropped five points by morning. You were not protecting me. You were risking my entire legacy because your pride was hurt.”

“It would have worked if you had not spied on me!” I screamed, tears finally blurring my vision. “It was a good story! People would have believed it! They already think she is a greedy gold-digger!”

Olivier did not answer me. He turned around, walked straight into the bedroom, and grabbed my large leather suitcase. He dragged it out into the hallway, the heavy wheels scraping against the floor. He did

net look at me as he urizipped it, tossed my expensive silk robes inside, and forced the zipper shut with a Toud, sharp snap.

He grabbed my coat from the rack by the door, threw it on top of the bag, and opened the front door wide.

“Goodbye, Camille,” Olivier said. “I think it is time you take your leave.”
