Chapter 164: The Body Changes2
Bella POV
Claim
He kissed me again, slower this time, his tongue stroking mine in a way that made my knees weak. “You’re carrying our baby,” he whispered hotly against my mouth, his free hand slipping under my blouse to caress the bare skin of my back. “You’re glowing your body is changing in the most beautiful ways, and all I can think about is how much I want to worship every inch of you. Tell me exactly what you need tonight. I’ll give it to you. Slow and deep, or hard and fast-whatever your body is begging for.”
His words sent another rush of heat through me. I pressed closer, feeling the hard line of his arousal against my hip. “Hard,” I breathed. “I want to feel you lose control a little. I want to feel wanted like this.”
Caleb groaned, his forehead resting against mine. “You are wanted, every single day. I look at you across a room and remember how you taste, how you sound when you core for me. In that lunch meeting today? When I leaned over the table? I saw the way your eyes darkened and it took everything in me not to clear the room and take you right there on the conference table. Professional or not.”
I laughed breathlessly, tugging at his shirt buttons. “You’re not helping my control right now.”
“Good,” he said, voice dropping even lower as he nipped at my lower lip. “Because I don’t want control tonight. I want you riding me, or bent over the bed, or whatever position feels best with our baby between us. I want to hear you moan my name while I’m buried deep inside you. I want to watch your face when you fall apart around me.” His hand slid lower, cupping my ass and pulling me tighter against him. “Tell me again, Bella. Say you need me. Say it so I know I’m not imagining how much you want this.”
“I need you,” I whispered, voice trembling with urgency. “Inside me. Now. Please, Caleb.”
He kissed me once more, fierce and claiming, then scooped me up carefully despite my protest.” Bedroom,” he growled against my ear. “I’m going to take my time with you tonight-until you forget every careful distance you’ve been trying to keep.”
A few days later
“You’ve been staring at the same page for twenty minutes,” Caleb said one evening, appearing in the doorway of my study with two cups of tea.
I looked up from my laptop. “I’m thinking.”
“About the Nexus proposal?”
“Yes,” I said. This was not entirely true. I had been looking at his hands where they rested on the door frame and failing to think about anything useful whatsoever.
He set the tea down and turned to leave, and I watched him go and felt the want move through me like something with no sensible resolution, and then said, “Caleb.”
He turned back.
“Stay.” I gestured at the armchair by the window. “Just read. Over there. I work better when you’re in the room.”

had not admitted that before. It was a small thing. But the way his expression shifted when I said it – not Triumphant, just quietly, genuinely pleased made it land heavier than I had intended.
He got a book, sat in the armchair. I got absolutely nothing done for the rest of the evening and I was willing to accept that as a reasonable trade.
The next night it was worse. I found him in the living room after Tom had gone to bed, reviewing contracts on his tablet. The lamp light caught the sharp line of his jaw and I felt heat pool low in my belly so
suddenly I had to grip the doorframe.
“Caleb,” I said, voice already rough.
He looked up instantly. “What do you need?”
I crossed the room before I could talk myself out of it. “You. Right now.”
His eyes darkened. “Bella… you’re sure?”
“I’m five months pregnant and I want you so badly I can’t think straight. Yes, I’m sure.”
He set the tablet aside and stood, pulling me close but careful, one hand sliding to the small of my back, the other cupping my face. “Tell me how you want this, I don’t want to push.”
“I want you inside me,” I whispered against his mouth. “I want to feel you. All of you. No holding back tonight.”
He kissed me then, slow and deep, the kind of kiss that said he had been waiting for permission. His tongue slid against mine and I moaned into his mouth, hands already tugging at his shirt. “Bedroom,” he murmured, voice low and rough. “Now.”
We barely made it down the hall. By the time we reached our room I had his shirt off and he had my silk robe pooled at my feet. Caleb dropped to his knees in front of me, palms smoothing over the gentle curve of my five-month bump with something like reverence.
“Look at you,” he breathed, pressing a kiss just below my navel. “So fucking beautiful carrying our baby. Tell me if anything hurts. Promise me.”
“Nothing hurts,” I said, threading my fingers through his hair. “Just touch me. Please.”
He hooked his fingers in my panties and slid them down, then leaned in and licked a slow, wet stripe up my center. I gasped, knees buckling. He caught me, steadying my hips as he licked again, deeper this time, tongue circling my clit with perfect pressure.
“Caleb- oh god”
“Say it again,” he growled against me. “Tell me what you need.”
“Your mouth. Don’t stop. I’m so wet for you already.”
He groaned and sucked my clit into his mouth, two fingers sliding inside me without warning. I cried out, hips rocking against his face. The pregnancy had made everything more sensitive, every nerve ending alive and screaming. He curled his fingers just right and I came hard, thighs trembling, his name falling from my lips like a prayer.
