The Rogue is a Female Alpha novel Chapter 452

Chapter 452

Cupid

Finished

The night is thick and cold. I stand at the open window, cigarette glowing between my fingers, letting the wind bite my face and remind me how many loose ends I’ve left dangling for years.

The cigarette dies in the ashtray the instant I hear her heels stop outside. The door opens without a knock.

Evalina steps in exactly as ordered, completely naked, skin gilded by the low bedside lamps.

The black viper tattoo coils from her hipbone down to the neat strip above her shaved pussy, the silver bar piercing her clit hood catching the light. She is breathtaking, objectively perfect, and tonight that means nothing.

“No wine?” she teases, voice velvet, walking straight to me. Her palms slide up my chest; her mouth finds mine. I kiss her back just long enough to taste the hunger on her tongue, then steer her toward the bed.

“Get high with me first” I murmur against her lips.

Her eyes flicker with surprise, but I’m already moving. My hand slips between her thighs, two fingers gliding through slick heat so she won’t be able to think.

She’s drenched, swollen, ready. A single stroke and her knees buckle; she sinks onto the mattress with a broken gasp.

“Ever tried it in the vein?” I ask, producing the pre-loaded syringe from the nightstand. Clear liquid, lethal dose if you don’t know the antidote, and I do.

She stares at the needle, pupils blown wide. For a second I think she’ll refuse.

Then she whispers,

“I’ll try anything once with you. Have you done this with other women?” Jealousy edges her voice even

now.

I meet her eyes, steady.

“Never.”

Lie slid in smooth as silk. Of course I have tried this many times with my two whores. Every month when I go through mating heat.

I tie her arm with the silk belt from my robe, find the vein, slide the needle home. She exhales a soft moan as the instant the plunger goes down.

Thirty seconds. That’s all it takes.

Her band clutches my shirt, tries to pull me down for another kiss. I let her lips brush mine, then ease away as her eyelids flutter and drop. Body goes slack, breathing slow and even. Out cold.

I wait another full minute, thumb on her pulse, steady, deep, harmless for the next six hours.

Only then do I pull the sheet over her naked body, walk back to the window, and exhale the breath I’ve been holding since the plane touched down.

This is it.

Phase one complete.

Earlier today, I tampered with the bedroom camera, making sure it wouldn’t record. Now, I leap out the window, landing silently on my feet.

I swallow when I spot a security guard in the distance and immediately take the opposite direction. I am a rogue, one of many and as such, I can sense another’s scent.

There are plenty of rogues on the estate, but I follow the strongestone, the presence that feels like it’s calling me.

I walk beneath the night sky, abandoning the building I was meant to stay in, and eventually arrive at a row of small attached apartments.

My steps halt at a particular door. Two reasons. Firstly because it’s slightly ajar, almost beckoning and secondly because the scent drifting from inside.

Slowly, silently, I slip in without touching the knob. I pause in the doorway.

She sits there, on a shabby wooden bed, palms on her lap, eyes lifted to meet mine.

For what feels like an eternity, neither of us moves. Neither speaks and just like that, Tears pool in her eyes and spill silently down her cheeks.

I step forward and close the door. My throat goes dry when the lock clicks. When I turn back, she’s still staring, unable to believe her own eyes.

“Jahan?” she whispers, voice trembling, desperate. I walk to her, dropping to one knee. I guide her hand to my face. “My son?”

“It’s me, Mother. It’s me.”

Her tears spill hot into my palm, scalding me. I search her eyes, watching emotions wrack her body until she collapses against me, clutching me tight, too tight, like she fears I will disappear if she lets go.

Her quiet sobs fill the room, filling my chest with everything I thought I’d lost and somehow found again. I hold her, swallowing the raw truth.

The Godlikes took me in. Alpha Ruis reshaped my life, forged me into what I am today, and I will owe that debt until I die.

But this, this woman, this rogue, this is blood, this is family, and I wouldn’t trade her for anything.
