Chapter 390
Snowflakes
Finched
By the time the taxi pulled into Ares’s mansion, Ana was already back from her short break. I met her in the hall when she came to pay her greeting, and I returned a small nod before rushing upstairs to the bedroom to gather the things I needed.
Staying with Ares now seemed impossible. Perhaps I should leave before he returned. We would finalize the divorce later. I went to my closet to get my bags when I heard the sound of his car riding in.
I froze.
The main door slammed, heavy footsteps thundered up toward the bedroom, and then the door swung open with a violent force.
He stood there for a heart-stopping second, like a crazed, wounded man, before storming toward me, grabbing my arm so roughly I gasped in pain.
“What in the hell did you just do there? Walk out on my mother and sister? Really?!”
Before I could speak, he shoved me off, sending me stumbling onto the floor. He swung angrily at the lamp on the bedside table, sending it crashing beside me, shards scattering like tiny blades.
I stared at him, unable to comprehend the hatred, the madness, the raw anger pouring off his body.
“You are the trash I brought from the alley, Snow!” he spat, and I went cold at that remark.
I looked up at him in stunned silence, and when our eyes met, he scoffed, mocking, cruel.
“What? You think that was a lie?”
He crouched down slowly, tucking my hair behind my ear with cold fingers as he searched my eyes. His voice dropped to a whisper, soft, taunting, venomous.
“You are trash, Snow. Your body, everything about you. And you know it too, don’t you? You know how dirty your body is… how many cums were shoved into it before I took pity on you and married you. I tried to give you everything I had, tried to treat you right. But all that got into your head, made you forget what you truly are. A werewolf with a human body. Wolfless. A body that can’t produce a pup. Useless. A sister your pack never wanted. Unwanted. And now… if you don’t want to be a complete loser in your husband’s house, you need to start being reasonable. Hmm? Before Thanksgiving, you will go and apologize to my family for your rudeness. Do you understand?”

He withdrew his fingers from my hair and quietly straightened up, walking into the bathroom. Moments later, I heard the shower running, while tears were already breaking free from my eyes, trailing silently down my cheeks.
Stating the facts hurts. The reality I fought so hard to bury, too ugly to look at, too heavy to carry. Multiple cum shoved into my body that night. It was the truth.
Scars on my belly were the evidence I tried to forget.
And hearing it from Ares, the one I once thought was my savior, cut deeper than any blade.

How would he even know where I lived?
I stepped back and glanced at the clock. 2 a.m.
:
No sane person would be out here at this hour, right?
The thought settled.
The answer followed.

Cupid Godlike wasn’t a man who operated with sanity. I had an idea of what he was capable of and killing wasn’t something a right mind could do.
