The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 2176

Juniper shot Leonard a surprised look. "You seem to know quite a bit about this... Were you a hacker too?"

"No, but I've heard stories about the industry." Leonard stared right at her. "Could you possibly be Q?"

Juniper's eyes widened. "How did you know?! Did you investigate me?"

Leonard's tone was icy. "When someone drops that much money at my cafe every single day, naturally, I'm going to look into them."

Juniper frowned. "Just because I'm a regular customer, you had to run a background check? Don't you think that's a bit of a stretch?"

Leonard glanced at Joshua, who had remained entirely silent. "Ask your friend here. He can tell you if my investigation was justified."

Hearing this, Juniper actually turned to look at Joshua.

"What does he mean by that?"

Joshua leaned back lazily and said in a cool voice, "Mr. Lerman is the head of the Lerman family. It's only natural he'd be cautious of a stranger appearing out of nowhere with unclear motives."

Juniper's expression twisted in utter shock.

"The head of the Lerman family? The head of the Lerman family runs a cat cafe?"

Leonard retorted, "Is it really that strange? Weren't you an incredibly skilled hacker who now runs a flower shop?"

Rendered speechless by his logic, Juniper fell silent.

Not long after, a massive floral order came in.

The two shop assistants were struggling to keep up.

Seeing this, Juniper stood up. "Joshua, Ms. Cameron, Mr. Lerman, wait here for a moment. I'll go help them pack the flowers and be right back."

Once she left, a heavy silence settled over the room.

Joshua, who usually never missed a chance to throw a sarcastic jab at Leonard, seemed entirely uninterested in speaking.

He just sipped his tea while scrolling through his phone.

About ten minutes later, Juniper returned.

This time, she carried three baskets of freshly washed fruit.

She looked at Stella and Leonard. "I wasn't sure what you liked, so I washed a little bit of everything."
