Once the serum was developed, the base strain would be sent up to Sovereign Industries for mass production.
Sovereign Industries produced everything. They manufactured all essential supplies for the other two divisions and delivered large-scale batches of Serum X to the final combat units.
Hayley spent several days quietly mapping the place out.
Combining what she saw with the intel she already had, she finally pieced together how the four major divisions of Ascendant
Creed were connected.
When it all came together, even she had to admit it: Ascendant Creed was terrifyingly powerful.
It wasn’t just a group. It was a complete system, an enormous machine where every part worked with precision.
She had already destroyed the headquarters of the Sovereign Academy and the Sovereign Research Institute. It had definitely hurt them, but it hadn’t touched the core.
Every day, she watched massive shipments of supplies being sent out.
Because those two headquarters had been wiped out, Sovereign Industries had ramped up production even more. It was like a lizard regrowing a severed limb, accelerating everything just to grow back stronger.
That kind of resilience made even Hayley feel the pressure.
But this time, things were different. She wasn’t being dragged around by Ascendant Creed anymore, forced to react to whatever they did.
All she needed to do now was find a lead on Ruby and bring her back.
She wasn’t afraid of the Ascendant Creed, but if there was a smarter way to get Ruby back, she wasn’t about to charge in head-
on like before.
She still needed to grow her league, make it stronger.
For now, Hayley kept a low profile inside Sovereign Industries and worked as a security guard.
Yes, really.
Her current identity was just a guard.
Scott was one of the managers here.
The structure at Sovereign Industries mirrored pre-collapse corporations. The lowest tier was regular employees. Above them were team leads, and above those were managers.
There were four managers in total.
One oversaw food and supply production. One handled tools and weapons. One managed pharmaceuticals and serum manufacturing.
The last one, Scott, was in charge of logistics, transport personnel, and security.
Hayley worked under him as a B-level guard.
She wasn’t even a squad leader.
Honestly, not being a squad leader had its perks. No one bothered calling her name during roll. With Scott’s silent approval, she wandered freely under the excuse of patrol.
“Why are you two so late?”

Today’s shipment was massive. Hayley and Griffin showed up behind schedule.
All the guards were dressed the same: black caps, black masks, black sunglasses, and all-black uniforms. If not for the word ” SECURITY” stamped across their backs in a slightly tacky font, they would actually look pretty sharp.
Griffin’s zombie eye didn’t stand out at all in this setup.
“Move it! Get everything loaded!” an A-level squad leader barked.
Hayley watched the chaos around them. Hundreds of guards moved back and forth, hauling crates and sealing shipments.
She leaned toward Griffin. “You handle this. I’m heading inside to take a look.”
Griffin nodded as he turned.
The next second, he froze, staring ahead.
A sea of identical black-clad guards flooded his vision. And just like that, he lost her.
Griffin blinked, completely thrown.
No way… He couldn’t even recognize his own captain anymore?
Or…
Then it clicked. Back in her room earlier, he hadn’t been able to find her either. After a brief pause, he let out a quiet laugh.
Figures. Another hidden card up her sleeve.
Hayley really never showed her full hand.
“Quit standing around! Get back to work!”
The squad leader snapped at Griffin, watching him carry a crate alone.
Meanwhile, Hayley had already walked off right in front of him, and he didn’t notice a thing.
