were already closing in outside.
“You need to run,” A051 Said urgently. “They know something’s wrong. If they catch you, they’ll kill you.”
Hayley and Griffin exchanged a glance.
Two seconds later, about eight uniformed personnel rushed into the room.
The moment they stepped inside, a crushing weight slammed down on their minds. An overwhelming pressure hit them all at once. Every single one of them dropped unconscious.
Half a minute later, three figures in staff uniforms walked out, each with a keycard clipped to their chest.
Beep.
A keycard swiped, and the door ahead unlocked.
The person in front lifted her gaze slightly, revealing a pair of bright, sharp eyes.
Behind her, another figure moved quietly, the edge of an eye mask just visible beneath the disguise.
The three of them were Hayley’s group.

Chapter 763
Hayley grabbed a set of clothes and strode out like she owned the place alongside Ao51 and Griffin.
A051 led the way.
They had just reached the entrance when they saw a crowd rushing inside.
“Why are you heading out? Did you catch the one inside?”
A051 tensed instantly.
Then a low voice cut in, “All of you, get in there now! We came out to call for backup. Move! That Gifted in there is strong as hell!
11
Hearing that commanding tone, the others swallowed whatever questions they had. Without a second thought, they rushed into the building in a swarm.
Hayley didn’t hesitate. She led her group straight out at full speed. Outside, she saw wave after wave of new arrivals being brought onto the island.
So it really was a yearly selection.
Another batch of unlucky souls.
Hayley didn’t spare them a glance. Using the access card she had taken, she followed A051 all the way to the outer edge.
Beep.
The outermost gate slid open.
Hayley could already hear the commotion rising behind them.
A051 suddenly stopped. “Go! I’ll hold them off here.”
“Why would you do that?”
“I’ll buy you time. There’s an oil field not far from here. Swim toward it. You have to make it out! I’m counting on you. If you get back, take care of Winona for me!”
Her expression was set, as if she had already decided that she would make sure Hayley got out alive, even if she had to die.
Hayley had saved Winona once, and the girl was still with her. If her death could repay that debt and secure her daughter’s future, then it was worth it.
“If anyone’s taking care of her, it’s you.” Hayley grabbed her arm. “You’re coming with us.”
”
She pulled Susan Shorts along as they ran. Susan had just opened her mouth to say that if they all ran together, none of them would make it, when she suddenly frozę.
Right in front of them, docked at the port, was a warship.
“What…”
“That’s my ship!”
Behind them, alarms started blaring. They had been using someone else’s access card for so long and had finally been detected.
A beam of infrared light locked onto them, and from behind came the pounding footsteps of speed-enhanced Gifted closing in
fast.
There were level -6 speed-enhanced Gifted on this island.
A mass of lab coats poured out, chasing after Hayley and the others.
Hayley grabbed Susan with age hand and Griffin with the other. The next second, she activated straight-line acceleration. She shot forward, in an instansher speed surpassed anything humans.
The strongest level-6 Gifted stared in shock, unable to even catch a glimpse of her shadow
What kind of speed was that?
Speed-enhancement gifts had limits. No matter how fast human became, there was always a ceiling. The higher the level, the harder it was to improve, and even then, each upgrade only shaved off a second or two.
But the speed Hayley was showing now was on a completely different level
That was no ordinary speed-enhanced Gift!
The level-6 Gifted stood there, stunned, watching as Hayley and the others bouffed the ship. By the time he reached the dock the warship had already pulled away.
There was no catching it.
Meanwhile, surveillance across the island streamed Hayley’s final sprint onto the monitors.
A group of lab coats sat gathered in front of the screen, watching the ship disappear into the distance
“This test subject is absolutely incredible,” said the man at the center, his eyes glearning with excitement.
