Chapter 722
Diana stared at Hayley for a second, then blacked out, her head tilted to one side.
Hayley frowned, looking down at her.
Pathetic.
Hayley reached down, pulled the ID card off Diana, and tossed her aside.
The moment Diana hit the floor, she snapped awake and bolted. In the blink of an eye, she was across the room. She yanked hard on a handle set into the wall. The next second, she was inside a room hidden behind the door.
Diana stood on the other side of the glass, her face swollen, glaring viciously at them.
“You’re all going to die! I’m going to kill you myself!”
Rage had completely taken over. Even if Hayley hadn’t hit her, there was no way she would’ve let Hayley leave today.
The moment Diana saw Hayley, she thought of Ruby. Hayley looked too much like Ruby in her younger years. There was no way Hayley could be allowed inside the Academy!
Even if Hayley really was multi-Gifted, even if her abilities were stronger, even if she was exactly the kind of rare talent the Academy had been searching for, none of that mattered anymore.
Diana no longer cared about the Academy or their goals.
Today, Hayley had to die!
“She’s a fake. She’s not multi-Gifted! She doesn’t have any abilities at all. She tricked all of us. Kill her!” Diana barked the order into her earpiece, shooting Hayley one last vicious look before disappearing behind the door.
“Hayley!” Winona rushed to her side.
“Don’t worry,”
“With you here, I’m not worried at all!” Winona said, eyes full of admiration.
Hayley gave the little girl a quick pat on the head, then looked up. The room was surrounded by doors on all four sides.
An alarm blared overhead.
Hayley swiped Diana’s access card at the door they had come through. The door unlocked with a beep.
She grabbed Winona and ran.
Hayley had always had a sharp memory, but something felt off. After opening another door, she found

the same layout again. Doors on every side.
She followed the path she remembered, looping through again and again, until it hit her.
She was lost.
Every door looked the same as the last.
She went through door after door, and she still couldn’t find her way.
Right then, she detected carbon monoxide in the air. Their breathing grew heavier.
Winona’s legs gave out, her head spinning as she swayed.
“I’m okay,” she said, forcing herself to stay upright.
Hayley saw that the girl was already fading. She stopped, forcing herself to calm down. She told herself to think and stay calm. 2
Find the flaw.
This was their territory. Anyone trapped in here wasn’t meant to get out.
Even so, overwhelming force could break anything.
Hayley’s mental energy surged outward.
Boom!
Every camera above her shattered, along with the devices pumping the carbon monoxide into the room.
The air cleared slightly.
Hayley scooped Winona up and pushed forward through another door, but then she realized that the S- level card wasn’t working anymore.
She stared at the rows of sealed doors that wouldn’t open.
This place wasn’t simple at all.
They weren’t even showing themselves. They were planning to trap them here and wait it out.
Just then, a voice came from behind her.
“Come with me!”
A door to her right opened. A woman in a white coat stood there, looking at them anxiously.
“I’ll get you out.” 1
