The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 593

Chapter 593

Constant and Dean shrank back instinctively, trying to make themselves smaller under Nathaniel’s storm of rage.

Damn.

They had never seen him like this.

Even when their base had suffered a zombie outbreak with massive casualties, Nathaniel hadn’t reacted this violently. But now, after being rejected by Hayley, he had completely lost control.

The violent emotional surge quickly drew someone else’s attention.

“What’s going on here?”

A cold voice sounded behind them.

Constant and Dean turned instantly, relief flashing across their faces.

“Mr. Lance!”

“Mr. Lance!”

Amid shattered glass, a young man wrapped in protective gear stepped forward, eyes sharp and indifferent.

Lance Delgado, Nathaniel’s brother, asked, “What happened?”

Nathaniel stood there silently, face dark.

“Mr. Nathaniel got rejected,” Constant answered carefully.

“By who?”

“That woman from Base K1. The one who helped rescue us before…and also destroyed a lot of our equipment,” Constant said through clenched teeth.

Lance frowned. “Her?”

“Mr. Nathaniel pursued her,” Dean added quickly. “He invited her to several base gatherings, but she kept refusing. This time, she even sent a formal rejection order.”

“What’s the reason?”

Dean swallowed. “She said… She’s already married, and she’s pregnant with multiple children. She told Mr. Nathaniel to stop bothering her.”

Bang!

Nathaniel exploded.

He kicked Dean across the room.

A terrifying wave of mental energy erupted from him, pressing down like a collapsing mountain.

Layer upon layer of pressure crushed Dean to the floor, and his face twisted in agony. Another few seconds, and the mental force alone might kill him.

“Enough!”

Lance’s cold voice cut through the room instantly.

He studied Nathaniel’s unstable emotions.

“You want her that badly?”

Nathaniel turned, eyes burning with obsession. “Yes. I want her.”

Lance met his gaze without emotion.

“If you want her, then take her,” Lance said calmly. “If she’s married, kill the husband. If she’s pregnant, get rid of the children. If they resist, wipe out the entire base. It’s just a minor outside settlement. Don’t disturb me again over something this small.”

Lance turned and walked away.

Nathaniel stood there for a moment.

Then his expression changed completely, like clouds clearing from the sky.

Lance was right. It was nothing.

This was the apocalypse. Did Hayley really think marriage and pregnancy could stop him?

So what if she was married? The man could die.

So what if she was pregnant? The children could disappear.

Anyone who resisted them was asking to be destroyed.

He had been polite before, and they mistook that for weakness.

Base K1 was nothing more than an ant surviving outside the walls. They could crush it with one hand.

Ungrateful fools.

Constant and Dean quickly chimed in beside Nathaniel.

“We’ll go with you tomorrow. The fact that you even noticed that woman is already a blessing for her! If she refuses again, her base deserves what’s coming.”

“Exactly,” Constant added, barely hiding his excitement. “They’ve been given enough chances. If they resist tomorrow, we wipe them out.”

At last, he had found his chance to get revenge on Hayley.
