The CEO’s Regret: His Lost Wife’s Secret Twins

Chapter 47

ARIA

David Coleman. Olivia’s husband. The firefighter who had rescued her from a burning building two years ago. What started as frequent check-ins during her recovery had blossomed into love, leading to their marriage. Standing right there with another woman hanging on

his arm.

I ducked behind a decorative column, my heart hammering. The woman with him-young, pretty, simpering-had to be Bella. The cousin Olivia mentioned. The one who’d been staying at their place “temporarily for the past three months.

Well, looks like she made herself real comfortable.

They moved toward the elevators, Bella giggling at something David whispered. Her hand rested on his chest, fingers playing with his tie. Not the touch of family. The touch of a woman who knew exactly where those hands had been before.

My stomach churned. Poor Olivia. Pregnant with this bastard’s child while he played house with his cousin.

I fumbled for my phone, nearly dropping it twice. My hands shook as I snapped photos. David’s hand on Bella’s lower back. Bella leaning into him. Their bodies pressed together waiting for the elevator.

Evidence. Cold, hard evidence that Olivia’s hero husband was just another cheating scumbag.

The elevator doors opened. They stepped inside, and I caught David’s hand moving to squeeze Bella’s ass just before the doors closed.

I wanted to throw up. Actually, I might throw up. Morning sickness hit at the worst times.

The elevator display showed it stopping at the eighth floor. Great. They were definitely getting a room. Not even trying to hide it- walking into the Sapphire Hotel together in broad daylight. The arrogance of men who thought they’d never get caught.

I pressed my back against the column, trying to steady my breathing. What now? Did I call Olivia? Did I march up there and bang on doors until I found them?

Olivia. God, Olivia. She’d been beating herself up, thinking she wasn’t attractive enough anymore because of the pregnancy. Wondering if her morning sickness and mood swings were driving David away. Blaming herself while this asshole was screwing his cousin.

The nausea hit harder. I barely made it to the marble planter before dry heaving. Nothing came up-I hadn’t eaten yet–but my body didn’t care. It wanted to purge the disgust of what I’d just seen.

I wiped my mouth and straightened up, finding a quiet corner to sit. Sipping water slowly, I let my stomach settle while figuring out my

next move.

Olivia deserved to know. Right now. Before David came home tonight with lies about working late, smelling of another woman’s perfume.

Chapter 47

I pulled out my phone and hit her number. It rang once, twice-

“Aria? What’s going on? You never call this early.”

:

Her voice sounded tired. Probably hadn’t slept well. David probably hadn’t come home last night.

Liv, I need to ask you something. Where’s David right now?”

“He texted me last night. Said he had to crash at Bella’s apartment because she had some family emergency.” A pause. “Why? Did

something happen?”

A family emergency. Right. An emergency in his pants.

“Liv…” I took a deep breath. “I’m at the Sapphire Hotel. The one connected to the club where I was last night.”

“Okay? Aria, you’re scaring me.”

“I just saw David walk in. With Bella.” I gripped the phone tighter. “They’re together, Liv. Really together. They just went upstairs.”

Silence. Such complete silence I thought the call had dropped.

“Liv?”

“Tell me exactly what you saw.” Her voice turned cold. Dangerously cold.

“They were all over each other. Holding hands. His hand on her back, her waist. She was laughing at something he said, touching his chest.” I swallowed hard. “They got in the elevator. Went to the eighth floor. I have pictures.”

A sharp intake of breath. Then a sound that might have been a laugh, but with no humor in it.

“That lying piece of shit,” she whispered. “His own cousin. His own fucking cousin.”

‘I’m so sorry, Liv. I didn’t want to tell you like this, but-

“But I needed to know.” Her voice cracked slightly. “God, Aria. I’ve been making excuses for him. All those nights he stayed at her place. Helping her settle in. Family obligations. I actually believed him.”

“Do you want me to go up there? I can-‘

“No.” Steel returned to her voice. “Tell me where you are. I’m coming.

“Liv, maybe you should think about this first. You’re pregnant, and-

“And what?” She cut me off. I should sit at home like a good little wife while my husband fucks his cousin in a hotel room? I don’t think

“What about…” I trailed off, unsure what to say.

“What about what? My reputation? My marriage?” Another bitter laugh. “Those are already gone, aren’t they? Send me your location. I’ll

be there in fifteen minutes.”

*Olivia-*

“Aria, please. You’re my only real friend. The only person who actually tells me the truth. Her voice softened. “Just… stay there. Keep an

eye on them. I need to see this for myself.”

After we hung up, I approached the front desk with my best professional smile. Time to use those PR skills I’d learned at Morgan

Enterprises.

“Excuse me,” I said to the clerk, a different one from earlier. “I’m trying to reach my cousin. He checked in earlier with a young woman- David Coleman? Dark hair? about six feet tall.”

The clerk’s expression remained neutral. “I can’t give out guest information, ma’am.”

“Of course, I completely understand.” I pulled out my phone, showing a random business email. “It’s just that we have a family situation. His wife-my other cousin-she’s pregnant and having complications. I’ve been calling his phone but he’s not answering.”

The clerk hesitated, sympathy flickering across her face.

‘Please,” I added softly. “I just need to know he’s here so I can reach him. His wife is in the hospital.”

“Room 809,” she said quietly. “But you didn’t hear it from me.”

“Thank you. Really. Thank you so much.”

I found a seat in the corner where I could watch the elevators without being obvious. My phone buzzed with texts from Olivia.

Olivia: [Leaving now. Don’t let them leave.]

Olivia: [I can’t believe I was worried about HER. Thought she was lonely. Needed family support.]

Olivia: [Should’ve trusted my gut. She’s been after him since she moved in.]
