The CEO's Regret: His Lost Wife's Secret Twins novel Chapter 187

Chapter 187

After making three apple bunnies (my hands actually cramping from the effort), I glanced toward the doorway. “Blake took off?”

‘Probably ran to help Victoria, I muttered, my mood instantly tanking. ‘Figure out some way to clean up her mess.”

I silently promised myself Victoria would pay for what she’d done-to both of us.

After leaving Matthew’s room, exhaustion hit me hard. It was late, and I had no idea how I’d find a taxi at this hour. Stepping outside the hospital, the cold night air slapped my face.

Then I saw him.

Standing in the dimly lit parking lot was Blake’s tall figure. My heart did that stupid thing it always did around him-stopping dead before racing out of control.

“Blake?” I called out, shock obvious in my voice.

“Yeah,” he answered, voice rough as sandpaper. His left hand trembled slightly inside his suit pocket.

I stepped back defensively. “Are you here to beg for Victoria?”

“About Victoria’s graduate thesis,” he interrupted. “Was it yours? Did you write it for her?”

I tensed up. “How did you find out?”

“Victoria told me today,” Blake said, face unreadable in the moonlight. “When I was taking her to the police station, she spilled it to hurt

me one last time.”

I blinked, trying to process this.

Blake’s voice turned ice-cold. “I’ve already dealt with her. I’ve broken the hands that stole your work and the mouth that forced you into

silence.”

His words sent chills down my spine.

“I’m contacting her university. Making a public statement. Your academic achievements will be returned to you,” he stated flatly.

I stared at him, completely thrown. “What about family harmony? The precious Morgan reputation?”

‘After you left, I realized I haven’t had a real family for a long time.” Something shifted in his expression. “My father never liked me.

Chapter 187

Victoria only used me. I was just a tool in that house.”

I couldn’t hold back anymore. “Maybe Henderson brainwashed you as a kid, but that doesn’t excuse helping Victoria destroy others! You stole my work! You ignored her bullying!”

My voice grew louder. ‘You Morgan siblings are the true born monsters!”

Blake didn’t argue. His face turned ashen, taking every word.

“You’re right,” he finally said, voice barely audible. “Six years ago, when we married, I didn’t give a damn about you. I thought you were manipulative. Between my sister and my wife, I chose her.”

Each word felt like another knife in my chest.

Blake’s shoulders slumped. “This is all my fault. I don’t deserve forgiveness.”

His hand caught the edge of my coat, trembling. “Aria, I was wrong. So wrong. What can I do? I can’t change the past.

Tears streamed down his face. Blake the cold, composed CEO-was completely falling apart before my eyes.

“Aria, kill me,” he whispered brokenly. “I only want to die by your hand.”

I stood frozen, my body shaking. Despite my best efforts, tears escaped down my cheeks. His despair touched something inside me I couldn’t ignore. Blake still affected my emotions-an uncomfortable truth I couldn’t escape.

But I couldn’t forgive the damage he’d done. I was terrified his priorities would shift again, that I’d be overlooked as I had been for three

years.

Wiping away my tears, I coldly pulled my coat from his grasp.

‘I won’t kill you,” I said flatly. “Why should I dirty my hands? It wouldn’t change anything.”

“You won’t have to dirty your hands, Blake responded with frightening resolve. ‘I’ll take care of everything myself.”

Alarm shot through me. I grabbed his arm. “Don’t you dare do anything stupid! If you do, I’ll hate you even more!

Beyond my messed-up feelings, I had practical concerns. If Blake died, where would William get the cord blood he needed?

“Stay alive, Blake, I ordered firmly. “Taking care of yourself is the best way you can help me!”

Something shifted in his expression-a tiny flicker of hope. He reached toward my hand, and I didn’t pull away.
