The Billionaire's True Heiress From Fake Jewel to Real Crown novel Chapter 973

Claire threw her hands up in defeat. "I knew you guys were going to ask that."

There was no hiding it from these three; they had been right there playing games with her when Van pulled her aside.

"I've actually known Van for a while. I don't just know him, I also know his fiancée."

Skye couldn't contain her curiosity. "Is his fiancée actually pretty?"

Zara was just as invested. "Yeah, what does she look like? How pretty is she? Prettier than me?"

She was incredibly confident in her own looks.

After all, wasn't that exactly why her cousin, who could never compete with her appearance, always tried to sabotage her in other ways?

"She has this stunning, commanding presence. Complete boss energy."

Claire didn't want to flat-out say she was prettier than Zara. Zara was gorgeous, but compared to Tilda, it wasn't quite the same.

It was a matter of sheer presence.

Tilda was the kind of fierce, radiant woman who commanded a room!

"Fine, she's definitely prettier than me."

Zara sighed dramatically, touching her cheek. "By the way, do you guys think the scar on my face has faded at all?"

Lex squinted closely at her skin. "It actually looks completely gone."

Skye nodded in agreement. "I can't see anything. But then again, that scratch wasn't very deep to begin with."

Claire didn't even need to lean in for a closer look; she had absolute faith in her product. "I don't even need to ask. You definitely used the Experimental Scar Gel I gave you, didn't you?"

Zara nodded eagerly. "I did use a little, but I honestly wasn't paying much attention to it at first."

The dorm rooms didn't have full mirrors inside; there was only one large mirror at the end of each floor for everyone to check their outfits.

Zara had brought a tiny compact mirror that she used every morning while applying sunscreen.

She was worried the small mirror wasn't giving her an accurate reflection, which was why she needed her three roommates to verify it for her.

"That just proves the gel is doing its job. Of course, it also depends on your body. You're young, so your skin bounces back fast."

Claire didn't want to attribute all the credit purely to her proprietary formula.

"The worst part? After she burned me, she immediately started sobbing hysterically. She played the victim, claiming she hadn't kept a close enough eye on her little cousin and let me get hurt."

"She told everyone I was playing with fire."

"The truth is, she snatched my toy, and when I tried to grab it back, she shoved me into it."

"But there were no security cameras in the house back then. The nanny was gone, and it was just the two of us. There was no one to back up my story."

"And since she was always putting on this perfect, angelic act for the adults, nobody believed a word I said. Except for my mom."

Wait, her older male cousin had believed her too. That was why he always fiercely protected Zara after that and completely cut Zoe off.

His entire attitude toward Zoe had permanently shifted after that day.

"Oh my god, did your parents just let it go?"

"If my cousin did that to me, my mom would have ripped my aunt's head off."

"Nobody gets away with hurting me!"

Skye's family wasn't filthy rich, but her parents were incredibly loving. Growing up in such a warm environment, she had always been completely cherished.
