Chapter 89: 089: Steamy Moment

~ ROSELLE ~

A loud commotion erupts outside, making me grab one of Ronan’s shirts before hurrying to the window. My heart is still racing from the interrupted heat between us, but the noise pulls me out of the haze.

I peek through the slight gap in the curtains, breath catching in my throat.

Several warriors, including Ronan and Nikolai, stand in a wide circle around a creature unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

It stands upright on two powerful legs, almost like a man... but that’s where the resemblance ends. Towering well over eight feet tall, its body is packed with slabs of muscle under a coat of coarse black fur that ripples with every movement. Massive claws, each the length of a dagger, curl from its hands, while equally monstrous talons dig into the earth under its feet.

Its chest rises and falls, revealing rows of jagged scars that crisscross its body like old battle trophies. A wolf’s elongated muzzle lined with rows of razor-sharp fangs, a broad, powerful jaw capable of crushing bone, and glowing amber eyes that burn with feral intelligence. Behind it, a long, muscular tail lashes through the air, and every slow step it takes sends a faint tremor through the ground.

It doesn’t look like a wolf. It doesn’t look human either. And it’s nothing like the monster in my dream.

The warriors attack plasma blade clashing against the strange creature. Thick, reinforced chains are thrown over the creature, wrapping around its massive arms and torso. It roars, a sound so deep and guttural it vibrates through the window glass, thrashing violently as they pull the chains tight. Ronan stands at the front, his voice booming commands as he helps secure the final locks.

The creature fights hard, claws slashing at the air, but the warriors are too many and well-trained. They work in unison, forcing it down to its knees, then fully to the ground. Heavy manacles snap shut around its wrists and ankles. The creature lets out one final, furious roar before they drag it away.

I stay glued to the window until they disappear from sight, my heart still pounding.

The door to our room opens moments later. Ronan steps inside, his shirt slightly torn and streaked with dirt, hair messy from the fight. He doesn’t say anything at first, just walks straight to the bathroom, already peeling off his clothes for a shower.

I follow him, leaning against the doorframe as steam begins to fill the room.

"What was that?" I ask softly, my voice still shaky from everything I’d just witnessed.

He turns on the water, stepping under the spray with a tired sigh. Water cascades down his muscular back, washing away the dirt and sweat from the struggle.

"That was a Lycan," he says, voice low and rough. "A feral one. They’re rare, more beast than wolf. Stronger, faster, and a lot harder to control. They’re supposed to be extinct... and we don’t know where this one came from. Our pack has a history of hunting down and killing Lycans. That’s why we’re named Black Shadow, and why the other packs fear us. They’re brutal monsters... and now that we have one right in our dungeons, it could be the lead we need to find the others."

He runs a hand through his wet hair, turning to look at me through the glass. His grey eyes soften slightly when they meet mine.

"You okay?" he asks, concern filline his tone. "I didn’t want you seeing that."

I nod slowly, still processing everything. "I’m fine. Just... surprised. It looked so... monstrous."

He turns off the water and steps out, wrapping a towel around his waist. Water droplets trail down his chest as he walks over to me, pulling me gently into his arms.

"They usually are," he murmurs, pressing a kiss to my forehead. "It’s locked up now, and we’re safe."

I lean into his chest, breathing in his clean, familiar scent, the warmth of his skin grounding me.

He kisses me through it all, deep, passionate kisses that match the rhythm of his hips. His hands roam my body, one cupping my breast, thumb brushing my nipple, the other gripping my hip to angle me just right. Every thrust is measured, loving, like he’s savoring every second of being inside me.

The pleasure builds slowly, steadily, coiling tighter and tighter in my core. My moans grow louder, breathier, as he hits that perfect spot over and over.

"Ronan... oh Goddess, Ronan—" I cry out, my walls fluttering around him.

He groans, picking up the pace just a little, still careful but deeper now. "That’s it, baby. Cum for me. Let me feel you."

The orgasm crashes over me hard. I scream his name, my body shaking as waves of intense pleasure rip through me, my pussy clenching tightly around his cock. He keeps thrusting through it, drawing out every shudder until I’m a trembling, oversensitive mess beneath him.

Only then does he let go. With a low, guttural groan, he buries himself deep inside me one last time, his cock pulsing as he releases, filling me with hot, thick spurts of cum. He holds me close through it, hips grinding slowly as he empties himself completely.

We collapse together, tangled and breathless, his arms wrapped tightly around me like he never wants to let go. His face is buried in my neck, breathing me in as our heartbeats slowly sync.

"I love you," he whispers against my skin, voice hoarse and full of emotion. "So fucking much."

I smile, pressing a soft kiss to his shoulder, my body still humming with aftershocks.

"I love you too."
