But then, realizing that his usual soft tactics weren’t going to save him, his expression shifted.

A slow smile spread across his face.

Before I could react, he grabbed my waist and pulled me flush against him, my body colliding with

his.

“You can scold me all you want, Idara,” he murmured, his voice low and possessive, “but I wanted the whole world to know that you’re mine.”

My grip on his ear loosened slightly.

“And that’s why you left without waking me up?” I asked.

He shook his head, still smiling.

“No. That was me running away because I knew you’d be mad once you found out.”

I gave his ear one last sharp tug.

He laughed.

“Kiss me. And if you don’t do it properly… you’re still not forgiven.”

A low chuckle escaped him before his lips claimed mine.
