TABOO:BATION — 50 SHADES OF FORBIDDEN SHORTS novel Chapter 23

WELCOME TO SEX HOSPITAL

Cara.

Today was the day. I stood in front of the towering, glass–and–steel structure of D–vellona’s Medical Center. My heart was thumping so hard against my ribs I thought it might crack one.

This wasn’t just any hospital. This was the place people spent decades trying to get an internship at.

It was the greatest medical facility in the state, known for the most elite surgeons from across the planets.

And somehow, I had been invited. Today was the day I came for my first visit to sign some papers before I officially started my work on Monday. 2

I smoothed down my shirt. With one deep breath, I pushed through the heavy glass revolving doors.

Wow…

The lobby was massive and clean.

I walked up to the main reception desk. A beautiful woman with dark, polished hair and a crisp uniform looked up at me. She had a warm, knowing smile on her lips.

“You must be Cara, the new intern,” she said with a sweet, welcoming voice.

“We’ve been expecting you. You’re quite the rising star, aren’t you?”

“I… I hope so,” I stuttered, my face turning red. “I’m so excited to be here.”

“I can tell,” she giggled. She pushed a thick stack of papers across the counter. “Standard procedure, honey. Just sign the last page of the nondisclosure and conduct agreement. It basically says you’ll follow the hospital’s unique culture and keep everything you see within these walls.” 2

I was too excited to care about the fine print. I didn’t read a single word. My hand was shaking with excitement as I scribbled my signature on the line. 1

“Perfect,” the receptionist said, tucking the papers away.

“The Chief of Surgery, Dr. Sterling, is waiting for you, honey. Take the private elevator to the fifth floor. His office is the only door there. Don’t keep him waiting.”

I nodded quickly and started sprinting toward the elevator.

The ride up was silent and fast. My stomach did a little flip as the numbers climbed. 3… 4… 5. 2

Ding.

The doors slid open. I stepped out with a big smile on my face, ready to introduce myself to the most renowned surgeon in the country.

But the words died in my throat. My smile vanished instantly.

The fifth floor wasn’t a lobby. It was a wide–open, luxurious office with floor–to–ceiling windows.

And right in the middle of it was a massive desk, and on that desk was a scene I never expected to see in a hospital.

My body froze.

A young man, maybe a resident or a model–because he looked fit–was bent over the desk, completely naked, his muscular back arched.

Standing behind him was…

By the tag on his coat–Dr. Sterling.

He was older, maybe in his late thirties, with sharp, handsome features and broad shoulders. His expensive suit trousers were pooled around his ankles. His white coat was still on, fluttering behind him as he slammed into the younger man with brutal force.

They didn’t act like I had just come in.

Smack. Smack. Smack.

The sound of their skin hitting against each other filled the room.

The young man was gripping the edges of the desk so hard his knuckles were white.

“Ah! Yes… oh god, Doctor… deeper! Yes!”

My legs felt like jelly. My brain stopped working. I felt a wave of heat rush from my toes to my ears. My first instinct was to run.

Instantly, I turned around, my hand reaching for the elevator button to escape this madness.

“Stop right there,” a voice boomed.

I was sure it was Dr. Sterling.

My hand moved anyway, ignoring him. I started pressing furiously on the button, but the button was unresponsive.

“You’re trembling,” he whispered as he reached out, his hand sliding up my arm until his thumb rested on my throat. “Did you enjoy the show?”

“Really?he drawled. He moved his hand down, his palm landing flat on my chest, right over my heart. Then his fingers squeezed, grabbing my breast through the shirt and my bra.

“You have to teach me what professional is, Intern.”

“Don’t touch me,” I gasped, even though I wasn’t moving.

He smiled. “Cara…” He called my name. “I can already feel your heart racing. I bet you’re a mess down there in your pussy. You want to be on that desk next, don’t you?”

The shock of his touch finally broke the spell. The reality of the situation hit me like a bucket of ice water.

This was insane.

“No!” I shouted as I shoved his hand away and bolted.

One click, and the elevator opened. I stepped in, waiting to land.

I had to go back to the lobby and tell that woman I was quitting.

No–never. I can’t work here. I can’t work with perverts.

I reached the ground floor and burst through the door into the lobby. I ran toward the reception desk, my mouth open to scream for help.

But I stopped dead in my tracks.

The lobby was no longer empty. The receptionist was no longer sitting in her chair.

She was seated on top of the counter, her legs spread wide, her skirt pushed up to her waist.

In front of her was another nurse–the one who had been filing papers earlier. She was kneeling on the counter between the receptionist’s legs.

The nurse’s head was buried between the receptionist’s thighs, her tongue working a frantic, wet rhythm.

“Ohhh… yes! Right there! Don’t stop!” the receptionist wailed. She didn’t care that I was standing there. She didn’t care if a patient walked in. She had her head thrown back, her eyes closed in pure ecstasy.

My legs shook, unable to stand straight.

What the fuck is this place!
