"Let's go inside. Don't worry, an airtight net has already been cast over Zion City. The second they poke their heads out, we'll snag them."
Jerome patted Lizetta's shoulder gently. She looked up at him, forcing a reassuring smile, and nodded.
Lizetta received the blood sample the very next evening.
She was sitting in the living room, carefully folding the tiny new clothes she had prepared for him.
She had urgently contacted several premium boutiques to deliver them, washing and drying each piece herself before neatly folding them.
The butler hurried in from outside, his footsteps noticeably more frantic than usual.
Jerome instantly stood up, taking quick strides to meet him.
The butler rushed forward, clutching a small shipping box. "A package just arrived for Lizetta."
"Quick! Give it to me," Nelson ordered sharply.
Lizetta dropped the tiny shirt in her hands, her eyes locking onto the cardboard box.
The butler carefully placed it on the coffee table as a maid rushed over with a box cutter.
Nelson reached for the knife, but Jerome quickly intercepted him, mindful of any potential traps.
"Let me handle this, Nelson."
He glanced at Lizetta, who immediately linked arms with her grandfather.
"Let Jerome open it," she urged softly.
She guided Nelson a few steps back; after all, Eartha was a viciously cruel woman, and they couldn't afford to be careless.
Jerome sliced the tape and pulled out a small lockbox. Upon popping it open, they found a secure ice pack cushioning a single vial of blood.
He let out a long breath and gave Lizetta and Nelson a firm nod.
Lizetta rushed forward, practically snatching the vial. She cradled it delicately against her chest, her eyes instantly burning with hot tears.
Lizetta didn't have to wait long before Jerome returned, knowing perfectly well that she and Nelson were agonizing over every detail.
He didn't waste a second and gave them a rapid update.
"The package basically appeared out of thin air. The return address is fake, the tracking number is void, and the only real detail was our estate's address. The actual delivery driver had absolutely no idea what was going on. Someone slipped the box into his van when he wasn't looking. Luckily, we were heavily prepared. Our people already locked onto the guy who planted it, and they haven't spooked him yet."
Nelson nodded grimly. "Make sure they don't lose him."
"Don't worry, the captain from the major crimes unit is personally leading the tail. He won't slip away."
Just as Jerome finished speaking, Nelson's phone suddenly rang. Lizetta and Jerome both stared at the device, their hearts pounding in their chests.
"Is it the doctor? Do we have the results?"
Nelson pulled out his phone, confirmed the caller ID, and immediately tapped the speakerphone button.
Doctor's voice flooded the room. "Congratulations, sir. The DNA results are conclusive. It is a definitive maternal match with your granddaughter. He is without a doubt your grandson. The Madden lineage continues! He has survived so much hardship; his future will surely be blessed with endless happiness."

Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
