"Nora!"

Nora hugged her back.

The two best friends, who hadn't seen each other in ages, clung to one another excitedly.

Piper finally let go, reaching into her designer bag to pull out an exquisitely wrapped gift box.

"I had a sudden spark of inspiration while I was studying abroad, so I designed this bracelet. Once the final piece was done, I realized it would look absolutely perfect on you. Open it and tell me what you think!"

Piper was a jewelry designer, acting as the lead creative at a very respectable studio. She made a fantastic living, but she traveled overseas for design workshops so frequently that she and Nora barely saw each other more than a few times a year.

Yet every single time they reunited, she brought Nora a piece of her own hand-crafted jewelry.

Nora was fully aware of this, and every gift from Piper never failed to touch her heart.

"You really work too hard, don't you?"

Teasing gently, she opened the box and slipped the bracelet onto her wrist.

The charm was a delicate bluebell that chimed softly with movement. Two woven silver chains draped elegantly over Nora's pale wrist, looking like an absolute masterpiece.

"Thank you, Ms. Lead Designer!" Nora grinned, shaking her wrist as she hugged Piper again.

"I adore it. But seriously, you don't have to go out of your way to make me something every single time."

Piper knew Nora was just worried about her overworking, so she simply laughed and pinched Nora's cheek.

"As long as you like it, my hard work paid off. Besides, I love designing things for you. No more complaining—just accept the gifts gracefully next time."

Nora linked arms with Piper, suddenly feeling a tight lump form in her throat.

"Okay."

The two of them headed up to the top floor to shop for clothes.

Later, they grabbed some iced teas on the lower level. As they strolled past the arcade, Piper excitedly dragged Nora inside.
