Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 90

Chapter 90

Raven POV

“Alpha Drake,” she whispers, her voice shaking, “what are you doing here?”

He gives her a long, considering look before opening his mouth to speak. “Well, you see,” he leans forward, his lips almost touching hers, “I’ve decided to make you, my Luna. You’re going to bear an heir for me.”

“You already signed a contract agreeing to take Raven as your Luna!” she shouted, panting, “we made a deal! She’s right here, all you have to do is take her!” she shrieked.

She’s panicking. She stares at him with imploring eyes, begging him to release her, to stick to the agreement when he has no desire to, not anymore.

She knew where this was heading. She knew that she was doomed. It was bittersweet.

My father walks forward, as does my brother. My mother’s eyes widen as she takes in their presence They’ve been hiding in the shadows, waiting for this moment. I’m amazed my father has managed to keep his cool until now. He had been making his own plans but then this opportunity to hurt her, to make her suffer had fallen into our laps and he’d been more than willing to go along with what I wanted

“The contract is null and void now,” my father’s voice is calm, disguising the rage coursing through his body, “we made a deal with Alpha Drake. We paid far more than you were willing to and when he realized that laws would dictate due to your marriage or marking of each other, he would gain your pack in the process, well, he was more than willing to sign a new contract. All you have to do is sign and allow him to mark you.”

He sounds blasé about it. As though this is nothing more than business and maybe that was how he was holding on so tightly to his self-restraint, instead of unleashing all his fury.

“Never!” Her voice is hysterical.

She shakes her head, twisting it side to side, tears beginning to trickle down her cheeks as she gives a small sob.

I don’t play games. I want this over with. I want her out of my life forever. I want her to suffer, to learn what it’s like to be helpless and backed into a corner.

I grab the contract and put it near her. She sobs. My voice is biting. “Sign or I’ll let Alpha Drake find another means to persuade you.”

My voice is chilling. There’s nothing I won’t do to her, and from the look on her face, she knows it too.

Alpha Drake chuckles and puts his hand on his zipper. There’s no denying what he entails. MaryAnne Sinclair’s eyes widen as she shakes her head in denial.

“You wouldn’t,” she breathed, looking desperately at me.

“I would have been in the same position, mother. Why do you think you’re so special. I’ve already proved how far I’m willing to go. Sign,” I order, no sympathy in my voice whatsoever.
