She wanted her brother to have everything he desired. It was too bad he couldn’t see past his own stubbornness because he was never going to find happiness with Marissa, no matter how hard he tried.

“He’ll get there. Baby, I swear, we’ll do whatever’s in our power to help him. But are you sure about this, because once it’s on you there’s no going back and you’re officially mine forever,” he said thickly, his eyes lingering on that special spot, his throat tightening.

She moves closer, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck, nuzzling him. She’d never been more sure

in her entire life. It was time to embrace their love fully.

“I’ve never been surer in my life. I love you so much,” she whispered into his ear, “and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to have your children, and I want to grow old with you.”

Tears prick the corners of his eyes. They were mates, but had held off doing the one thing that would have cemented their love and bonded them forever. It had always been out of concern for Hades. For Aeress to suggest this, to agree, meant she was slowly realizing that her brother might never change. It was a bittersweet moment. Jackson could feel anticipation flooding through his veins, and he licked his lips, looking longingly at the nape of her neck, unable to deny the excitement slowly growing inside of him.

“Do it,” Aeress urged, her voice barely above a whisper, “make me yours for eternity,” she breathed.

“Take me,” she breathed as his hands began to slowly move up her nightgown, caressing her, “I’m yours now, always and forever.”

She writhed on the bed, her hands eagerly reaching for him, her eyes looking up at him with trust and a hint of mischief.

They didn’t get much sleep that night. Jackson was like a man possessed, starving for her. Her screams filled the room, and as she shuddered and clutched at him, all the events of the day faded from their minds, leaving nothing else but their desire for one another. By the time morning came, they were embraced in each other’s arms, neither one of them wanting to let go of the other.

What would her brother’s reaction be when he saw her and Jackson’s mark in the morning, and would Hades lose control or accept the reality? Aeress didn’t know, but she was prepared for either eventuality.
