Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 184

Chapter 184

Third Person POV

She lay pinned beneath him, feeling every thrust, her hands digging into his shoulders, her head flung back, his body moving over hers. He gave a loud growl and came as she stiffened, his cock sliding out of her abruptly, leaving her feeling dissatisfied as she hadn’t even been able to find her own release. Not that he cared. He never did. It was one of the many things she despised about him. Marissa was fast growing to realize that not every mate treated their other half like a treasure, and Darius was one of them. He seemed to have a love-hate relationship with her, maybe because, as a Hunter it was ingrained within him to hate shifters.

“That was a good fuck,” Darius said casually as she sat up, slowly rearranging his clothes.

“I’m glad it was good for you,” she sneered, unable to hold back her rising anger.

It was a mistake. Darius hated disrespect, especially coming from her.

Slap. She gave a small whimper as she felt the sharp sting of his hand against her cheek, her hand slowly moving upwards to touch it, her eyes fighting back tears. It hurt. She couldn’t even shift because he kept her sedated with wolfsbane, not trusting her to try and kill him. He preferred her weak, and the other hunters kept close tabs on her wherever she went. She was virtually a prisoner in this bunker, and she hated it.

“How many times have I told you not to speak in that tone with me?” Darius snarled.

She bowed her head. “Sorry,” she muttered, wishing she had the guts to glare at him, but not wanting another hit or punishment.

Silence.

“Your pack is gone now,” he told her calmly as she felt sick to her stomach, “so is Alpha Drake’s.”

“You promised me that you would leave my pack alone if I gave you Raven’s,” she whispered, tears coming to her eyes.

“I lied,” he said smugly, “it’s your own fault for believing me. We might be mates, but I’m not about to let you dictate to me what I can and can’t do. Your pack was easy pickings,” he added, and it felt like a stab to her heart.

Once upon a time, she wanted Raven dead with her entire being, and now, now she just wants to be as far away as possible from her, let the sister she once had and loved live a happy life.

Darius smirks at her. “Are you having second thoughts? Because if you need convincing again, I can think of several ways to persuade you to make sure you obey me,” he nods towards the bed and her blood almost freezes.

“No,” she said hurriedly, making him chuckle, “I just want my revenge, I told you.”

Her voice is unconvincing, shaking as she lies with gritted teeth.

“Even though it also means your precious Alpha Hades dies as well?” his tone turns ominous.

She knew how much he hated Alpha Hades. He viewed him as a competitor for her, even though she was bonded to Darius now. He was jealous of her feelings for Hades, which had steadily begun to decline. She thought she loved Hades, but now she realized she didn’t know what love was. It certainly wasn’t what she had with Darius.
