Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Hades POV

“What’s happening? Doctor!” Jackson yells out in horror as Raven’s body begins to convulse and her body thrashes on the hospital bed.

“She’s having a seizure,” the doctor shouted, “quick, help me hold her down. Make sure she doesn’t bite her tongue.”

Her body jolts and shudders. It’s terrifying to watch. Jackson’s pale. He clenches his jaw, his eyes never once leaving Raven’s face. Suddenly, her seizure slows, and then her eyes come flying wide open as she sits upright, a confused expression on her face. The doctor and nurses back away slightly, the doctor grabbing his pen light and shining it in each of her eyes to check her pupil’s responses.

“Where am I?” Raven looks around the room, puzzled.

Her voice is hoarse. A nurse hands her a cup of water, and she begins to thirstily drink, as though she had gone without water for days.

“The hospital,” the doctor continues, checking her vital signs, “you were severely injured.”

“Was I?” she continues to sound bewildered, “then why can’t I feel it?” she asked, wrinkling her brow, a look of worry on her face.

The doctor immediately checks her bandage, peeling it back. I hear him gasp, and then he tears it away, exposing her bare back. The wound is gone. All of them are, including the bruises and whip marks that had covered her body. Simply vanished as though they were never there. Her eyes are clear, and there’s no sign of any wound on her head either. It’s a miracle or my blood was more potent than even I could have dreamed of. She was perfectly fine. I study her face, but it’s perfectly innocent. She didn’t know what had caused her body to heal itself so quickly or if she did, she certainly wasn’t about to give it away.

“How are you feeling?” the doctor murmurs, still looking stunned.

Raven yawns. It’s cute. “I feel fine,” she shrugged, “tired but otherwise everything feels good as new.”

“Strange,” the doctor continued to look astonished, “all your vital signs are stable, and even your heart rate and blood pressure have picked up. You’re healthy as a horse,” he exclaimed.

“Thank god,” Jackson breathed, moving to her side.

My wolf gives a low growl. My feet move without my being aware, and suddenly I find myself holding Raven’s hand, my skin tingling where we touched. My wolf begins to calm. I don’t know what it is about her, but Lucifer seems to like her.

“Jackson,” Raven beams, “Hades, you didn’t have to stay here.”

“I’m the reason you ended up in the hospital,” Jackson’s voice is terse, “naturally, I wanted to make sure you are okay.”

It was, but the grass was lush and soft. She wouldn’t have hurt herself.

She wraps her arms around my neck as I cradle her in my arms. She’s light. Petite. Like a little doll as I hold her. I feel her body against me and inhale sharply as my body begins to respond despite my struggles not to. Jackson strides ahead to open the door to the car. I place her gently inside and then climb in the back. I motion to the driver as Jackson goes to his own vehicle. We speed off towards the pack house. Raven leans against the seat, her eyes turning to look at me. I wrestle internally with myself. Every instinct inside of me is urging me to touch her, to feel the warmth and smoothness of her skin. I should have gone back to the packhouse, if only to avoid this happening. It was too late now.

Fuck. What was it about this girl that had me feeling like a teenage boy again? Her hair is like dark obsidian; her eyes are like jewels. Her skin is like sweet honey, and her curves are enough to make any man come undone looking at them. She has the body of a fallen angel and breasts that make my mouth water.

You know you want to. Just look at those perfect lips, Lucifer groaned, and that sweet, sweet smile. Taste her. Just a little taste, he urged, see if her mouth tastes as divine as you imagine it to. One taste that’s all.

It’s like something comes over me. Some sort of primal urge. Raven seems to sense my distress. I wait for her to 1 push me aside, for her to pull her face away. Instead, she moves closer, almost sitting on my lap. I can smell her

scent, her subtle perfume tantalizing my senses. It’s like an aprhodisiac and I was helpless to stop myself.

“Hades,” she breathes, taking hold of my head and holding it still with both hands, “do you know how long I’ve been wanting to do this?” she whispered.

I should push her away. I should be a gentleman and move away from her. I should remember that she’s in a fragile emotional state and remember her current condition. I should…

It’s too late. Part of me is beyond rationality. It’s like everything happens in slow motion, and in an instant, everything changes, the air electrified between us.
