“Mel, what…. what video are you keeping from me? And Aurelia, what on earth are you. Aaron asked.

matters. 

“A private video?” Aaron began to feel suspicious.

“Is it a matter of privacy? Why don’t you take a look for yourself?” Aurelia retorted. 

Melanie’s eyes widened, watching in disbelief as Aurelia was about to play the video. 

This was a hospital, specifically right outside the operating room. It was deserted, with only their family present. If any sound were to emanate, it would certainly be heard loud and clear. 

Melanie’s body trembled violently in terror. “Aaron, it’s really nothing, the video isn’t important. I overreacted, it has nothing to do with Aurelia. It’s all my fault!” 

“But your brother isn’t too convinced.” Aurelia said as she found the video and handed her phone to Melanie to watch. 

The video that hadn’t yet been played was paused at the hotel room number. 

Melanie’s face had turned deathly pale, and with a hint of terror, she pleaded, “Aaron, believe me! I really did overreact. Please, go wait over there. The surgery could end at any moment. I’ll talk to Aurelia.” 

That detestable Aurelia! 

She had never been so humble in front of Aurelia before. 

Nor had she ever acted like this in front of Aaron and the others before, taking all the blame upon herself.

Seeing Melanie so agitated, Aaron hesitated for a moment before deciding to go back.

As if she was afraid he would see through her, Aurelia, on the other hand, appeared completely normal, without any hint of irregularity.

“I don’t care, you shouldn’t have put me in a difficult position, even if it was for her sake. The moment you got that video, you should have deleted it! Not use it to threaten me.” Melanie couldn’t hold back, and started to accuse Aurelia. 

“Wrong,” Aurelia’s finger resting on the video on her phone. “Out of respect for my mother, I didn’t publicize it to tarnish her reputation, but the Leedon family should see it.” 

Suddenly, a heart–fluttering cry that could make one blush emanated from her phone. 

Melanie paled. 

She rushed forward and turned off the video. 

She turned around, her face pale, to look at Gideon and his group who had glanced over at her. 

The muscles in her face had stiffened out of fear. 

“What are you guys doing? What are you looking at? Do you realize this is a hospital?” Gideon reprimanded in a stern tone. 

“You’ll have to ask your dear daughter what she’s done that’s so disgraceful,” Aurelia stated.

It seemed as if… 

It was as if Mel was moaning. 

“If I’m not mistaken, that sound just now was rather peculiar, wasn’t it?” Spencer asked, casting a doubtful glance at Melanie and Aurelia. 

Since when did the two of them become close enough to watch that kind of video together? 

Aaron looked at Spencer with a peculiar expression on his face.
