Bianca spoke up at the right moment. “Mr. Reid, Steven can hunt exotic beasts now, and he’s already an official member of Team Ashen of the Awakened Squad. He even went on a mission with them yesterday and killed a lot of exotic beasts.”

“What?!” Frank was shocked. His mind went blank.

Steven felt his heart was melting when he heard Bianca called him by his name.

Frank was a slightly chubby middle–aged man. He didn’t have the greasy look most middle–aged men had. Instead, he gave off a warm and approachable energy.

Even the shocked expression on his face right now looked a little funny.

Frank excitedly asked, “You mean Team Ashen, the number one Awakened Squad in Rowenville?”

Steven scratched his head and smiled. “Yeah, that one. The captain is Alan.”

Frank was stunned. It actually was them!

He couldn’t believe it.

Why would Alan recruit Steven into the squad at a time like this?

That didn’t make sense!

Alan was someone who valued principles more than anything.

Frank knew that very clearly.

Could it be that the Steven standing before him was also an unpolished gem?

But he was only a B–Rank. The main reason Frank was being this polite right now was because of Bianca.

Did Alan have his eyes on Bianca, too?

Steven calmly said, “Frank, please help me keep this secret for now. I don’t want other people to know yet.”

Frank nodded and looked at Steven with a complex expression.

“Alright, I understand.”

Even though he was confused, now wasn’t the time to investigate further. He could always ask Alan later.

Steven continued, “So, Frank, the reason I want to go to the hunting grounds is to improve my combat skills too. Please help me.”

Frank pondered for a moment.

His expression turned serious.

“Steven, are you sure you’ll be okay?”

Steven nodded. “I’ll be fine. I’ll take responsibility for my own safety. If anything happens, it’s on me.”

Frank sighed softly. “Alright then. I’ll help you apply for permission to enter the beginner hunting grounds. Whether it gets approved is another matter.”

Frank smiled. “Actually, I originally tried to apply for the two of you to stay together, but some of the female teachers at the academy strongly objected. After all, once the rules are broken, more and more people will ask for the same thing later. That wouldn’t be good for management,”

Frank, you’re such a good person… too bad it didn’t work.

What a good man. He really thought everything through.

Frank quickly waved both hands. “Don’t worry, it’s not some connected student who got in through family influence.”

And Frank himself truly had no hidden intentions. To the academy, Bianca was now like a precious treasure. No one was allowed to cause her any trouble.

Steven nodded. “Sounds good.”

He thought for a moment. In his previous life, Bianca’s roommate later became an important figure in the military, eventually earning the rank of general. He wondered if it would be this same future roommate they were about to meet.

Under Frank’s guidance, they quickly arrived at the dorm room door.

The dorms here looked rather luxurious, completely like high–end apartments.

It was probably the kind with two separate bedrooms.

Frank opened the door and said, “That female student hasn’t checked in yet either. She’ll probably arrive sometime today. By tomorrow, most of the students should already be here.”

“The official classes start the day after tomorrow.”

Both of them nodded and followed Frank inside.

Sure enough, it was a two–bedroom apartment with a living room and even a kitchen. Every household appliance was included, and all the basic supplies were already prepared inside.
