A mischievous grin slowly spread across Steven’s face.

“So does that mean I can trick the future Ember Eternal into becoming my wife? Hehehe…”

That night, neither of them could fall asleep.

By the next morning, both of them had dark circles under their eyes.

Almost at the exact same moment, they stepped out of their rooms wearing pajamas.

The instant they saw each other, both of them blushed.

“S–Steven… G–Good morning…”

“Morning, Bianca!” Steven grinned brightly, flashing a row of white teeth.

The moment Bianca realized she was still wearing pajamas, she hurried back toward her room in embarrassment.

But as she stepped over the doorway, that seemingly light step instantly shattered the wooden threshold into pieces.

Smash! Wood splintered everywhere.

Steven’s eyelids twitched. As expected of an SSS–rank. Fortunately, he had already learned how to control his own strength long ago.

This was simply a sign that Bianca still couldn’t perfectly control the power awakening inside her body.

Looking at the completely destroyed doorway, Bianca panicked.

“D–Did I mess up?”

Steven laughed. “It’s fine. Totally normal. Go change first.”

Bianca’s cheeks turned bright red.

“O–Okay…”

Brian also poked his head out from inside.

“Mhm. That’s the normal reaction for an SSS–rank. Right now, even most level 10 Awakened below S–rank probably couldn’t beat her in pure strength.”

Steven glanced at Grandpa and raised an eyebrow slightly.

So the higher the Divine Sigil rank, the higher the user’s initial physical attributes after awakening.

Of course, that also meant higher–rank Sigils required far more time and resources to evolve.

Overall, though, it was still an incredible advantage.

While brushing his teeth, someone knocked on the courtyard gate.

He raised an eyebrow.

He opened the door.

Standing outside were three sharply dressed men in suits, with a luxury car parked nearby.

The two standing on the sides looked younger, around their thirties, while the one in the middle appeared much older, around fifty or sixty.

Steven could feel faint pressure radiating from all three of them, especially the one in the center.

Steven asked politely, “Who are you?”

The middle–aged man smiled. “You must be Steven, correct?”

“Yes, that’s me.” Steven nodded.

The man smiled warmly. “Hello, Steven. I’m Jensen Browning, Commander of Rowenville’s military.”

He extended his hand.

Steven’s pupils contracted instantly.

“Mr. Browning?”

Jensen smiled and nodded. “To be honest, I prefer when people call me Commander.”

Steven was inwardly stunned.

Why would Jensen show up at his doorstep first thing in the morning? Who would believe something like this?

Steven called out loudly, “Grandpa! Bianca! Vanessa! Commander Browning is here!”

At those words, both Vanessa and Bianca immediately poked their heads out.

Commander Browning?

Vanessa was instantly shocked. The ruler himself had come personally?

She hurriedly wiped the water from her hands.

Jensen smiled and looked toward the timid–looking Bianca. “Hello, Bianca. I’m Jensen Browning.”

Bianca looked completely at a loss.

“H–Hello…”

Jensen smiled gently. “Don’t be nervous. I just came to meet you and have a simple conversation.”

Bianca immediately seemed nervous again.

“I–I’m not joining the military. I want to stay with Steven.”

Jensen froze for a moment before laughing helplessly.

Sure enough, if they wanted Bianca to join the military, they’d have to start with Steven first.

What a lucky brat. At such a young age, he had already completely won a girl’s heart.

But could they really force the issue?

Jensen, Steven, Bianca, and Vanessa all sat together around the table.
