Bianca didn’t panic.

Instead, she asked softly, “Steven, are you feeling down?”

She rested her head against his chest and listened quietly to the rhythm of his heartbeat.

Steven asked, “You heard all of that?”

“Yeah.” Bianca nodded.

She enjoyed being wrapped in Steven’s arms. She liked his scent as well. It always made her feel

secure.

Steven said, “I’m not really upset. Just… a little unwilling to let go.”

Bianca gently tried to comfort him. “Steven, compared to forcing them to keep following us into danger, maybe this isn’t such a bad choice.

“If you insisted on keeping them with you, and someday something happened to even one of them, you’d regret it for the rest of your life.

“Leaving doesn’t mean parting forever. It just means you’ll meet again under better circumstances.”

Hearing that, Steven smiled.

He held Bianca’s soft face between both hands.

“Look at you. Since when did you become so good at comforting people?”

Her lips were squeezed into a cute pout beneath his fingers.

She grew a little embarrassed, and her cheeks turned pink.

Then she slowly closed her eyes.

Steven leaned forward and kissed her. Beneath the morning sunlight, their lips met, and he wished that moment could last forever.

After a while, a teasing voice sounded from behind them.

“Oh wow, seriously? Aren’t you two embarrassed at all?”

Steven and Bianca immediately jumped apart as if they had been electrocuted.

Steven turned around and glared at Peter, who stood there wearing a mischievous grin.

“Interrupting me? You’re asking for it!”

Peter spun around and bolted away, laughing as he shouted, “Captain and Olivia are looking for you about the weapon forging. I swear I didn’t do it on purpose.”

Steven smiled helplessly. That old pervert had definitely done it deliberately.

He turned back toward Bianca.

“Why are you so embarrassed? Everybody already knows.”

Bianca’s face reddened even more. “You still didn’t have to say it.”

Steven rubbed his nose and laughed softly. “Come on. Time to go get our weapons forged.”

The four of them, Alan, Olivia, Steven, and Bianca, left the residence together.

The moment they stepped outside, Steven and Bianca exchanged a glance and instantly understood what the other was thinking.

Someone was watching them.

Steven’s senses now extended nearly three miles in every direction. Any unusual activity within that range reached him clearly.

Alan showed no reaction at all. The four climbed into an armored vehicle and drove into the

city.

She looked at him with surprise. “You know Greyson?”

Steven nodded. “The first Martial Master in Orroux? Who wouldn’t know him?”

Bianca looked at Steven and asked, “Steven, don’t people always joke that you’re our Martial Master? Are Martial Masters really that incredible?”

Steven nodded. “Of course. They’re just exaggerating when they talk about me.

“A true Martial Master has already pushed their martial energy into the Supreme Peak and fused it with the power of the Divine Sigil. They can fight opponents above their own level.

“And a Martial Master possesses unbelievably sharp perception. They can identify flaws in someone else’s combat techniques with a single glance.

“As for me, I only manage because my eyesight is special. My martial path has barely reached the stage where Spear Aura has taken shape. I’m still one step away from true unity between man and spear.

“A Martial Master is someone every organization and every major family treats as an honored guest. I’m nowhere close to that level.”
