Chapter 405 The Alan From Back Then Was Back

And in that moment, James seemed to realize something.

Alan was still Alan…

The blade light arrived in an instant.

It struck all seven of them across the chest.

Boom!

Their battle armor split open, deep grooves carved through their chest plates as they were blasted backward, coughing up blood.

All seven stared in shock.

This doesn’t make sense.

Is the forbidden technique really that powerful?

After that one strike, Alan didn’t even spare them another glance and turned back toward Steven’s group.

He looked at the five still writhing on the ground like fools, screaming in pain.

Then he gave Steven a long look.

Steven’s expression didn’t change. He knew Alan had probably figured something out.

As long as nothing was said, it was fine.

Alan flicked his palm, sending a burst of force toward the five.

It slammed into their heads.

In an instant, all five lost consciousness.

James was beside himself with rage, wiping the blood from his mouth.

“Alan!”

Alan looked over.

His voice was cold. “This is your last chance. Come after me again, and I’ll kill you.”

James burned with fury.

“You trash!

“You killed my brother first! I’ll never let this go!”

Alan’s gaze sharpened. “Want me to send you to him right now?”

It was a casual line, but the pressure behind it was suffocating. His eyes seemed to pin James in place.

Alan said coldly, “Your brother brought it on himself. He tried to ambush my teammate, so he paid with his life. No one touches my people and walks away.

“And you. You think I don’t know what you said about Yvonne?”

His voice hit like a blade, the killing intent in it draining the color from James’s face.

The Alan from back then had returned.

Alan stomped down, and a violent gust swept the five unconscious Divine Knights off the ground.

“Take your people and get back to Orroux.”

Watching from the side, Mackenzie’s eyes were shining.

I’m done for. If I ever get the chance, I’m having his kids. They’d be gorgeous!

Alistair swallowed hard.

A deep fear rose in his chest.

This was Alan.

The Alan from back then was back.

If they had made a move yesterday, they might already be dead.

Alan clearly had the strength to kill James and the others.

He had held back.

~That alone said enough. Alan had changed…

He raged on the spot.

Steven’s expression grew serious.

It seemed Alan’s earlier burst had come at a cost.

He had likely done it on purpose, making a show of overwhelming strength to intimidate the other teams.

After all, Alan was only level 41. One–on–one, none of those Divine Generals could match him.

But taking on seven at once was still a lot of pressure.

And to create that overwhelming display, he’d deliberately gone all out. The strain had to be huge.

No one spoke.

Steven also focused on recovering.

With one hand in his pocket, he continuously absorbed the energy from beast crystals to replenish his psychic strength.

That last attack had drained him heavily.

Bianca leaned closer to Steven and asked quietly, “Why didn’t Captain Alan just kill them?”

Steven shook his head, not answering.

But Alan opened his eyes and spoke instead. “If I killed them, it would’ve cost me too much. You’d all be at

risk.”

Hearing that, Peter and Darlene exchanged a look, their hearts heavy.

The gap between them was suffocating.

Olivia let out a quiet sigh and didn’t explain further.

No one was at fault. They just couldn’t keep up with Alan.

Even in Orroux, he was a monster among monsters.
