Chapter 400 The Center of the Impact Zone

The team stared at Bianca, completely baffled.

No one understood.

Steven turned to Fiona. “How many divine crystals do you need for one level?”

Fiona thought for a moment. “A little over 30 thousand, I think.”

Steven did a quick calculation. Fiona’s base stat during Divine Awakening was probably eight.

SSS–rank had a base stat of ten.

Finished

At Three–Sigil, Fiona should need around 32 thousand low–grade divine crystals per level, equivalent to 3,200 stat points.

That’s what didn’t make sense to Steven. Why did Bianca need 80 thousand?

His own requirement of 160 thousand made sense to him, but Bianca jumping to 80 out of nowhere didn’t.

It cut the gap between them from four times down to two.

It was a good thing, but he couldn’t figure it out.

At that moment, Alan spoke. “Stop overthinking it. It’s normal. I needed 80 thousand per level at Three- Sigil too.”

Steven sucked in a sharp breath.

His eyes went wide as he looked at Alan.

An S–rank needing 80 thousand at Three–Sigil?

Alan explained, “This is why I keep telling you to push harder. Your Divine Sigil rank is fixed, but the upper limit of divine crystals needed per level can change. And when it does, your strength at that level increases significantly.

“That’s why I could overwhelm SSS–rank fighters at the same level.”

Steven stood there, speechless.

Just how strong is Captain Alan?

You could do that?

The rest of the team stared at Alan in shock.

Peter blurted out, “Captain Alan, can we do that too?”

Alan paused for a moment.

“From what I’ve seen, most people who manage it are S–rank or above. Even then, the increase is limited.

1/3

It’s like pushing past your body’s natural limits. It probably has something to do with our physical foundation. I still don’t fully understand it.”

Peter and the others deflated immediately.

Finished

Alan added, “But it’s not absolute. Some A–rank have done it. You all know A–rank usually cap at Divine Knight. But those who reached Divine General with an A–rank Divine Sigil likely broke through that limit. It’s just extremely rare.”

That gave them a sliver of hope.

Alan said, “Don’t worry about that for now. Focus on leveling up first.”

The group forced a smile and nodded. Compared to S–rank fighters, the gap was still too large.

Alan walked over to Bianca and took out a pile of high–level divine crystals.

One hundred of them.

If Bianca can push her limits higher, what about me?

Can I do the same?

Can I break my limits too?

If I don’t, how can I keep up?

Her expression hardened with resolve. If they can do it, so can I.

Louie’s eyes practically gleamed.

“How big was the original meteorite? If we got our hands on it, wouldn’t it be worth billions?”

Peter said, “A beast probably took it first.”

Olivia added, “Or the Orroux military secured it.

“If we could get it, we could upgrade everyone’s equipment.”

Finished

Steven scanned the surroundings, pushing both his perception and vision to the limit, searching the soil for any remaining fragments.

Based on what he knew, even the smaller fragments were already extraordinary, containing traces of destructive energy.

Not much, but enough. Even S–rank battle armor could resist it. Any gear forged from it would at least be S- rank.

And if they could get their hands on Ruinstar Metal, that would be on another level entirely.

Just as Steven was scanning, at almost the exact same moment, both he and Alan looked up.

Nine figures appeared across from them, staring them down.

Warstar Squad. Alistair and the others.

Alistair’s expression was dark.

His team had already sent word out. Nebula Squad would arrive soon.

Just as Alan’s group turned to leave, several figures emerged from the forest on another side.
