Chapter 334 The Tournament’s Shocking Rewards

Alan looked at Steven and Bianca.

“Once you two finish dealing with everything in your personal lives, it’ll be time. That day isn’t far away!

Steven’s eyes narrowed slightly. He nodded. “Got it.”

Alan continued, “Even though Mr. Browning stepped in and the Reads won’t dare do anything openly, they’ll definitely come after you in secret. They might hire assassins.”

Bianca frowned. “Are the Reads really that bold and reckless?”

Alan said, “Those people are not as simple as they seem. They look like just one family, but I think they’re only a branch of something bigger. I don’t know the details. Just be careful.”

Steven nodded again.

Peter grinned and said, “When the time comes, we’ll wipe them all out in one shot.”

Alan looked at everyone. “Based on the current situation, we should have a period of peace ahead of us. But nobody can relax. Focus on evolving and getting stronger.

“Once we head to Orroux, the missions and dangers we’ll face will be far beyond anything we’ve experienced in Rowenville. You all need to improve as quickly as possible.”

Everyone’s expressions turned serious.

“Understood!”

“Understood!”

After that, everyone said their goodbyes and went their separate ways.

Time was precious. With only Three–Sigil strength, they were too weak to go to Orroux.

Steven and Bianca headed straight back to the villa.

As soon as they arrived, Steven frowned.

Something is definitely off. Had the Reads already sent hitmen after them?

At the Awakened Academy, the conference room was full.

All the senior staff were present.

Atwater sat at the head of the table.

“Let’s hear your thoughts. What do you all think about this year’s Awakened Tournament?”

The room fell silent.

Atwater smiled at this.

“We’ve ranked last among the mid–sized cities for five straight years, right? Sure, it’s embarrassing. But we still have to try. If we don’t, we’ll always be the worst.”

Everyone gave bitter smiles.

A senior administrator spoke up. “Looking at our current Three–Sigil students, only several upperclassmen above Level 25 can really hold their own. But if we want to stand out among more than a dozen mid–sized cities, it’ll still be difficult.”

Atwater nodded and said, “It won’t be easy, but we still have to compete.

“Find time to notify them. They should do their part for Rowenville.”

“Oh, and don’t contact the Reads for now. Spencer is dead.”

“A Level 7 combat technique? An SS–rank weapon?!”

The highest combat techniques in the academy they had access to were only Level 5.

Anything above Level 5 was incredibly rare.

Not everyone was qualified to learn them. To keep them secret, any combat technique above Level 5 required special authorization.

As for an SS–rank weapon, the requirement was stricter.

It was known as an Imitation Divine Weapon, a legendary weapon that ordinary people could only dream of.

Normally, unless someone had reached the level of a Divine Lord, they wouldn’t even get the chance to see

one.

For most people, the best weapon they could ever hope to touch was an S–rank weapon, and even those were extremely rare.

Yet Orroux was actually offering an SS–rank imitation divine weapon as a prize for Three–Sigil competitors.

The reward was simply outrageous.

Atwater smiled and nodded. “That’s the information I received. Orroux hasn’t achieved much in the tournaments held by the major cities over the past few years, so this time they’re going all out. They’re hoping to lure out the hidden geniuses from the great families. I’d say it’ll work.”

The room erupted with chatter.

“That’s a huge investment.”

Atwater smiled. “Anyway, we’re getting off track. I hope we can achieve a slightly better ranking this year. A better result would benefit the academy. We’d receive more support and resources, and that would help our city develop in a healthy way.

So it’s settled for now. We’ll start with those candidates. As for the other Three–Sigil students, anyone who wants to go can join as well. It’ll be a good chance for them to gain some experience and see the world beyond Rowenville.”
