Reborn: Apocalypse Ready. War Goddess by My Side
Chapter 33 Don’t Do Anything Recklessly
Bianca was still badly shaken and only managed to absorb part of what he said.
“Did the Rat King die?”
Steven shook his head. That was impossible.
Finished
That had been Peter’s second–sigil pattern power.
King.
It was
where near strong enough to kill a Level 3 Rat
Only a third–sigil pattern might have a chance. But once Peter used the power of his third sigil pattern, he would be completely drained.
Thinking of Bianca’s tenth–sigil pattern power from his previous life, its destructive power had truly been capable of scorching the heavens and boiling the seas. People once claimed that a single use of that power could wipe out every living being in an entire metropolis.
In all of Draconia, only four people had ever reached the realm of Divine Eternal.
That kind of power was forbidden.
The lightning finally faded.
The Rat King was blasted back into the ruins once again.
Peter slammed his spear into the ground and gasped for breath. Even the purple glow of the Divine Sigils on his body had started to dim.
His eyes remained locked on the Bloodfang Rat King.
The Rat King let out a furious screech.
It exploded forward again.
Blood was visibly pouring from its body.
A massive charred wound had appeared across its back.
The steel–like needle fur there had been completely blown away, and blood streamed nonstop from the injury.
That strike had genuinely dealt severe damage to the Rat King.
But it had also completely enraged it.
Its crimson eyes flickered violently with rage.
It looked as though tearing this human apart piece by piece was the only way it could vent its fury.
Another shrill screech rang out.
Rustling noises echoed through the darkness.

Chapter 33 Don’t Do Anything Recklessly
More Bloodfang Rats had arrived!
They quickly moved toward the Bloodfang Rat King.
Steven’s expression turned extremely grim.
Damn it!
There were three Level 2 Bloodfang Rats and five Level 1 Bloodfang Rats.
Peter was in danger now!
The only good news was that the Level 3 Rat King had already been heavily wounded.
“Kid! Go!” Peter roared.
Lightning exploded from his body once more.
The Bloodfang Rat King shrieked and issued an order.
The eight newly arrived Bloodfang Rats all lunged toward Peter.
Steven knew he had to leave now.
A heavy feeling weighed on his chest as he looked at Peter one last time.
Peter gave him a resolute smile.
Then, he charged headfirst into the swarm of Bloodfang Rats, fighting with his life on the line.
Finished
That fearless look instantly dragged Steven back to his previous life, reminding him of the man who had carved out a bloody escape route for him at the cost of his own life.
“Steven, you bastard! Next life, it’s your turn to protect me! Hahaha!
“And remember to pour me a drink from that jar of wine I buried! Don’t finish it all yourself!
“See you in the next life!”
Steven’s eyes turned red as he grabbed the two terrified women and fled without looking back.
“What about him?” Bianca asked.
Steven didn’t answer.
Bianca seemed to have already guessed Peter’s fate and fell silent.
Steven pulled the two of them along as they hurried through the streets, searching for somewhere safe.

Bianca covered her mouth, overwhelmed with fear and unease. This trip back was almost certainly a death
sentence.
But she couldn’t help him.
Was she really going to lose him?
Her vision gradually blurred as Vanessa pulled her toward the safehouse.

Chapter 33 Don’t Do Anything Recklessly
Bianca’s home.
Peter stared at the final three Level 2 Bloodfang Rats and the Rat King.
He leaned against his spear while blood poured from wounds all over his body.
He breathed heavily.
He was already running on fumes.
The three Level 2 Bloodfang Rats were also badly injured.
Pinished
Meanwhile, the Level 3 Rat King watched him like a predator. At a moment like that, it wouldn’t charge in personally.
Instead, it dragged over the corpses of dead Bloodfang Rats and devoured them, drinking their blood to recover its own injuries.
Peter braced himself with his spear. A horrific wound had been torn open on the right side of his abdomen, nearly piercing straight through him.
Blood continued pouring out nonstop.
He gasped for breath.
“Olivia, have the reinforcements arrived yet?”
Only silence answered through the earpiece.
Peter smiled faintly. “No reinforcements? That’s fine.
“Buddies, looks like I’m gonna have to say goodbye.
“I’m happy I got to work with all of you these past years. I’ll be heading out first!”
