Chapter 320 Grandpa’s Lesson

Brian sneered. “Hide?”

He brought his palm down with explosive force.

An enormous invisible handprint crashed toward Eric and the others.

Eric broke down.

“Mr. Fisher, why?”

Brian’s voice fell from above like the judgment of the heavens.

“If I want to teach you a lesson, why would I need an excuse?”

Boom!

In an instant, that force slammed every core member of the Reads into the ground.

All of them spat out blood wildly.

Even Eric, a Divine King, suffered devastating internal injuries.

Brian sighed inwardly. For the sake of that disappointing grandson of his, he could only hold back.

He hadn’t even smashed the house down. It wasn’t satisfying at all.

Brian glanced toward Abigail, who was being treated inside the house.

Forget it. Leave her alive so the kid can learn a lesson later.

Brian said coldly, “You should know your place. Don’t come disturbing me again.”

The moment the words left his mouth, Brian vanished.

Every member of the Reads felt as though they had survived a nightmare. It was simply too terrifying.

At least the house was still standing. Compared to before, this time had been slightly better.

But Spencer was dead. And now Silas too. Did that mean the Reads couldn’t even avenge them?

Eric climbed out of the crater.

He threw back his head and roared, “If the Reads don’t avenge this grievance, then we swear we’ll never be…”

Bang!

An invisible slap struck him across the face.

“Pfft!”

Eric was blasted backward. He crashed into a house, and it instantly exploded into rubble.

A trembling voice slowly echoed through the air. “You’re noisy.”

Eric immediately shut his mouth. His injuries were too severe.

Blood poured from his mouth.

This was straight–up bullying! They had to call for backup!

But soon, reports came flooding in one after another.

“Eric! This is bad! The resource exchange has been destroyed again! Everything’s been looted!”

“Eric! The equipment shop was flattened with a single strike! The newly stocked S–rank equipment is all gone!”

Eric spat out another mouthful of blood and nearly passed out.

His eyes turned bloodshot.

But he didn’t dare roar.

He could only howl inside his heart. We will have our revenge! The Reads aren’t without Divine Lords!

“Eric… are we still going to seek revenge?”

Eric roared, “Get out!”

In the yard.

Everyone was on edge, unable to sit still.

Why wasn’t Grandpa back yet?

14:43 Tue, Jun 23 M.

Is he serious?

Everyone turned to Alan and found him looking just as calm as ever. Could it really be all right?

Steven glanced at the captain. Even now, Alan looked completely unfazed.

Steven nodded, calming down a little. Brian didn’t seem like the kind of person who would joke about lives.

Brian looked at Vanessa. “Take this young healer to the little girl’s house. Check on her mother’s condition. and see what’s going on.”

Vanessa quickly nodded. “Okay.”

Darlene followed Vanessa out the door.

Brian’s voice remained calm. “In a life–or–death battle, showing mercy to your enemies is the same as being cruel to yourself. Everyone knows that.

“If you’re certain they came to kill you, then you need to be decisive when you kill them.

“Any hesitation could cost you your life.

“Of course, unless you have some other plan.”

Of co

Everyone turned to look at the old man.

Were you seriously choosing a moment like this to teach your grandson?

Brian looked at Steven. “I know what you’re thinking. What your teammates said got to you, and they weren’t entirely wrong. You’ve been thinking about the same things yourself. You’re worried that I’ll drag Vanessa and Hope into this. You’re afraid that if things go bad, we won’t have a way out.

“But you need to understand something. If you don’t kill them, they’ll still come back for revenge later. This was always going to be a fight to the death.

“And scum like that? The world’s better off without them. Don’t waste time feeling guilty about it.

“So don’t let anyone influence your judgment, not even your teammates.”

Hearing that, Olivia and the others looked somewhat embarrassed. Given the the Reads’s immense power and influence, most people simply wouldn’t have dared make a move against them.

Brian continued, “When it comes down to it, they were the ones who tried to kill you first. You’re in the right, and the military will back you up.”
