Chapter 31 Go Die

Peter was completely dumbfounded.
That was a Bloodfang Rat!
And it had just been sent flying with a single kick?
The Bloodfang Rat definitely weighed more than Steven.
Yet he had still kicked it away like it was nothing.
How the hell did he do that? Is he seriously that strong?
There wasn’t even time to think.
Peter cursed loudly, “Damn it! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!”
He immediately rushed toward Steven and the others.
Steven ignored him.
He hurried over to Bianca and gently held her face with one hand. “Don’t be scared. It’s okay now. You two are going to be fine.”
Tears slid down from Bianca’s eyes.
Screech!
The Bloodfang Rat King crawled out from the rubble and let out a furious shriek toward the sky.
Its crimson eyes glowed with terrifying blood–red light.
It was completely enraged now.
Soon, rustling noises came from all around the house.
From the roads nearby, behind them, even from the rooftops above, one Bloodfang Rat after another appeared. Their crimson eyes fixed directly on the group.
There were eight in total.
Every last one of them had arrived!
Peter’s expression darkened.
“Damn it! I’ll blow you bastards to hell!
“Kid! Protect those two! Leave the rest to me!”
Peter tossed an origin crystal handgun to Steven.
Without another word, Steven picked up the weapon and stood protectively in front of Bianca and Vanessa.

Bianca clutched tightly onto the corner of Steven’s shirt with both hands, practically wanting to throw herself into his arms.
Peter exploded into action. Purple light surged around his body.
A Divine Sigil appeared on each of his calves and both arms.
The sigils pulsed with waves of energy.
All three Divine Sigils bore a lightning–shaped mark.
Peter activated the origin crystal cannon in his hands.
“Damn beasts! Go die!”
The cannon roared to life. His primary target was the Bloodfang Rat King.
Blast after blast slammed into the creature’s body, shattering the steel–like needle fur covering it.
The Rat King shrieked in agony.
The other seven Bloodfang Rats lunged at Peter as well.
Every one of them was vicious.
Peter didn’t hesitate in the slightest. He kept firing round after round.
His movements were unbelievably smooth, never missing a single target.
Every flash from the cannon was followed by another Bloodfang Rat shrieking in pain.
Against the origin crystal cannon, the seven rats were nothing but cannon fodder.
Each blast reduced one into a spray of blood.
The Rat King completely lost it.
Watching its offspring die one after another, it shrieked furiously toward the sky.
But the only answer it got was more cannon fire.
Blast after blast rained down on it without mercy.
Its steel–like fur exploded apart and scattered everywhere/
But soon, the origin crystal cannon finally ran out of energy.

Steven’s expression grew heavy.
That Rat King was terrifyingly powerful. Defeating it wouldn’t be easy for Peter.
The defensive capabilities of a Level 3 beast were absolutely monstrous.
Taking that Bloodfang Rat King as an example. Its fur had already evolved into metallic steel–like spikes.
Ordinary attacks couldn’t hurt it at all.
Even the origin crystal cannon could only break apart the spikes.
“Steven, can he win?” Bianca asked quietly, finally calming down a little as she hid behind him.

Chapter 31 Go Die
Steven looked grim. “Hard to say.”
Vanessa said nervously, “Steven, we should leave right now.”
Steven shook his head. “We don’t know where it’s safe yet. Besides, we don’t know if there are more Bloodfang Rats nearby either. Running around blindly right now would be too dangerous.”
Vanessa’s heart was filled with fear. After all, she was just
an
ordinary person.
Watching the brutal battle between man and beast, Steven felt increasingly uneasy.
Peter was a three–sigil lightning–element Awakened, wielding the power of lightning.
Judging from his current strength, his level probably hadn’t surpassed Level 25 yet.
Trying to fight a Level 3 Bloodfang Rat King at that strength was extremely difficult.
But Steven couldn’t help him at all.
Several minutes passed in fierce combat.
The Rat King had finally started taking injuries. Blood began flowing from its wounds.
