Chapter 306 Running Into Lilliana Again

“Just on the surface alone, those two families are massive. They also have their own Awakened security forces and control their own mineral veins. They’re pretty powerful.”

Bianca listened and nodded.

They wandered through a high–end clothing store.

“I don’t think Mom would like clothes like these. She’s used to living simply.”

Steven nodded. “Then, how about we get her some health supplements? Something to help with longevity and improve her health.”

Bianca smiled and nodded. “Yeah, good idea, but we can’t tell her how much it cost.”

Steven laughed. “Don’t worry. I know that much.”

Bianca held onto Steven’s arm.

She nodded. “Okay. Then let’s go buy some supplements for Mom.”

Steven held Bianca’s hand as they strolled around, buying snacks here and there and eating while they walked. That’s the standard date experience for young couples.

Just as they walked out of a store with the supplements in hand, they ran right into two young, pretty girls heading their way.

They were dressed in short skirts, looking energetic and full of life.

Vita was holding Lilliana’s arm.

“Lilliana, let’s go dancing at the arcade later. I’m really good at dancing, especially that one…”

Vita looked at Lilliana and realized she had suddenly frozen.

Following her gaze, Vita saw a picture–perfect couple walking toward them.

Vita looked surprised.

“Steven and Bianca!”

Lilliana snapped out of it.

She grabbed Vita and tried to leave, wanting to avoid them.

“Vita, let’s go…”

Vita held her back. “Didn’t you say you’ve moved on? What’s there to be afraid of?

“You guys can just be ordinary friends from now on.”

Lilliana’s face filled with panic. “They won’t want to be friends with me…”

Vita shook her head. “No, they won’t. Steven and Bianca aren’t those kinds of people. Look, I’ll help smooth things over.”

Before Lilliana could stop her, Vita had already pulled her over and called out to them, “Steven!”

Steven and Bianca both looked over. In reality, Steven had already spotted them a while ago.

Vita led the uncomfortable–looking Lilliana over.

Vita looked delighted. “Steven, I can’t believe we ran into you here.”

Steven looked at Vita and managed a small smile.

“Small world.”

Vita nodded with a smile. “It really is. I never expected to run into my lifesaver here. You two shopping?”

At the same time, she leaned closer to Bianca.

“I didn’t dare to say your name too loudly. Hope you don’t mind.”

Bianca managed a small smile too and shook her head. “It’s fine. That was thoughtful of you.”

Steven knew that Vita was just trying to patch things up between them.

Steven smiled. “We were classmates to begin with. There wasn’t really any misunderstanding.”

Vita nodded with a smile. “That’s good, then.”

Lilliana froze for a second.

The next second, Steven said with a smile, “Enjoy your shopping. We should head home now.”

Vita nodded. “Okay. See you around.”

Steven took Bianca’s hand and walked away.

Once they were well out of earshot, Vita grabbed Lilliana.

“See? He’s not that hard to get along with. Whatever happened before, just let it stay in the past.”

Lilliana’s eyes flickered. Classmates

A faint smile touched her lips, and her mood instantly started to lift.

Steven, I really listened to what you said

Lilliana broke into a smile.

“Vita, let’s go. Didn’t you say you wanted to dance? Come on, show me what you’ve got.”

Meanwhile, Steven and Bianca got into a car to head home.

They had an armored car, but they didn’t want to draw too much attention and preferred keeping things low–key.

Besides, riding in a regular car gave them time to enjoy the scenery along the way.

There was a huge difference between the wealthy central district and the civilian district on the outskirts.

In the wealthy central district, some people could go their entire lives without ever encountering a beast attack.
