Spencer snorted coldly. “We’re brother and sister! I’m your older brother!”
Abigail let out a mocking laugh. “Oh, please. We’re only a minute apart. Don’t act like you’re years older
than me.
“Forget it. No point arguing about that. Last time, you couldn’t handle it, so the family sent me to persuade you. Now I can’t handle it, so they’ve sent you to warn me.
“We’re both pretty useless, aren’t we?”
The moment Spencer heard the words “couldn’t handle it,” veins bulged on his forehead. But he couldnt be bothered arguing anymore. Very soon, he would prove that he could.
Coldly, he said. “I’ve delivered the message. What you do next is your business.”
He turned and started to leave. Technically, he was still under house arrest and wasn’t even supposed to be
out
Looking at his back, Abigail suddenly thought of a good idea.
“Wait.”
Spencer turned around with a frown. “What now?”
With a half–smile, Abigail said, “That brat exposed your willy to everyone. Don’t you want to kill him?”
Spencer instantly exploded. “Can you stop bringing up that topic?!”
“Don’t be angry. It’s just the truth.”
The veins on Spencer’s forehead twitched violently. He felt like he might cough up blood from frustration.
Abigail continued, “That brat offended me too. Want to get rid of him together?”
Spencer frowned. “If we go after him now, people will be watching.”
Abigail sneered. “So what if they are? Since when do we Reads have to be scared of killing a mere B–rank
ant?”
“How did he offend you?” Spencer asked.
Abigail waved him off. “None of your business. Just answer me. Do you want him dead or not?”
“What scheme are you planning this time?”
Abigail rolled her eyes. “Would I ever harm you? Lend me your people. I’m short on manpower. I guarantee that brat will die.”
Spencer hesitated.
The truth was, he hated Steven so much he wanted to tear him apart with his bare hands.

His reputation had been completely ruined because of that night.
Finally, Spencer said coldly, “My people will contact you. Just make sure it’s done cleanly. Don’t leave any loose ends.”
As he walked away, the corner of Abigail’s lip curled upward.
That way… no matter what happened, it wouldn’t be traced back to me.
The next morning, Bianca woke up first.
She realized that she was curled up in Steven’s arms. Their sleeping position was so intimate that it was almost embarrassing to look at.
Her pretty face instantly turned red. Looking at Steven’s face so close to hers, she could hear his steady breathing and even smell his familiar scent.
A warm smile appeared on her face.
Meeting him had truly been one of the luckiest things in her life.
Without thinking, she lightly kissed his lips.
As if she couldn’t get enough of him.
Just then, Steven stirred slightly, looking as though he was about to wake up.
Bianca quickly shut her eyes and pretended to be asleep.
A moment later, Steven slowly opened his eyes.
The first thing he saw was Bianca nestled in his arms like a little bunny.
A glimpse of fair skin immediately caught his sight.
The corners of his lips lifted.
Damn it… not again.
Quickly, he picked up her clothes. To be honest, last night had been torture for him.
He’d ended up making two trips to the bathroom before finally managing to fall asleep.
After placing the clothes beside her, he leaned down and kissed her forehead.
“Get up. I’ll make breakfast for you today.”
Then he headed to the bathroom to wash up.
Bianca touched her forehead and smiled sweetly.
Life like this was wonderful.
The two of them walked hand in hand back toward the academy.
It was Friday. They could have returned the previous day.
But after getting a taste of being together, neither of them wanted to leave so quickly.
“Steven, I forgot to ask. What level are you now?”

They strolled leisurely beneath the tree–lined avenue, in no hurry to get to class.
Steven rubbed his nose. “Level 16.”
Bianca’s jaw dropped as she stared at him in disbelief.
“You spent an entire month on missions, and it didn’t slow down your evolution at all?”
Steven smiled helplessly. “Didn’t I tell you? Most nights we weren’t traveling. I spent that time/evolving
Suddenly, Bianca felt that she hadn’t been working hard enough.
