Reborn: Apocalypse Ready. War Goddess by My Side novel Chapter 276

He saw Alan lying unconscious, and he saw the miserable state everyone was in.

His eyes seemed to frost over.

He scooped Alan into his arms in one motion.

Damn it.

Those parasites deserved to die.

Olivia stared in shock. It’s actually him!

Holding Alan in his arms, the man suddenly looked up toward a certain spot in the sky and frowned. Had someone just been there…?

Steven had a dream.

In the dream, in his previous life, he had not cowered or held back. He had fought alongside his teammates and changed many things.

After surviving the disaster, everyone lay together on the grass and looked up at the clear blue sky.

They laughed and talked like nothing could touch them.

That time with Lilliana, she had not treated him as bait for the beasts, though she was still as cold as ever.

He also saw Zac. The two of them fought side by side, and everyone survived.

He saw Nelson, Seamus, Luke, and Chad, too. They were all alive and well.

It was a truly wonderful dream. At least, everyone was alive.

He was no longer the one being protected. This time, he had protected them all.

But at the very end, he saw another scene.

Bianca had become Ember Eternal.

She was locked in battle with the Crimson–Eyed Heavenfang.

That damned beast still ambushed her!

Steven’s eyes went red with rage.

He tried like a madman to change everything, only to realize he was nothing more than a spectator

He watched Bianca perish in the Divine Rite.

That desolate smile met Steven’s eyes.

Chapter 276 A Grand General’s Fury

Steven let out a heart–wrenching roar.

In the end, his gaze locked onto the Crimson–Eyed Heavenfang’s beastly eyes.

Then, Steven was suddenly dragged into the Beast Energy Conversion Space.

A low, furious roar tore from Steven’s throat.

He jolted awake.

It was a dream.

Thank God, it was only a dream…

Cold sweat had broken out all over him.

He could not lose Bianca. In this life, he would never let her repeat that same fate.

He had to change all of it.

Steven fixed his gaze on those golden eyes.

Had the CrimsonEyed Heavenfang actually died or not?

And if it had, then what was going on with these CrimsonEyed Heavenfang eyes here?

Too many questions lingered in his mind, waiting for him to unravel them one by one.

Before he could think any further, those golden eyes turned blood–red.

A beam of crimson light shot out and landed on Steven’s body.

Agonizing pain tore through him.

“Beast Energy Conversion, activate.”

It had activated on its own; Steven was not controlling it at all.

“Hanford’s coordinate data disappeared as well. Their clearance is higher than ours, so the data on our side may have been…”

Ernie glared at him. “Are you trying to smear Hanford and shift the blame?”

Jensen shook his head again and again. “General Greenwood, absolutely not. The Celestial Core itself appeared from Hanford’s direction. Rowenville was only ever playing a supporting role.”

Ernie gave a cold snort. “What a masterful job you people have done! Dozens of Awakened Squads, more than 10 Divine Generals, and so many Divine Knights died in this mission.

“Are the brains of both your Military Commands packed with shit?”

Jensen had no answer. All he could do was swallow the bitterness in silence.

“General Greenwood, the God Eaters had already obtained the Celestial Core’s secrets. The moment the quantum wall appeared, they vanished completely. There was simply no way to track them

Chapter 276 A Grand General’s Fury

This was my failure. Please punish me, General Greenwood.”

Jensen stopped trying to explain. Rowenville Military Command was definitely going to be punished severely this time.

The Awakened Squads might not be part of the formal military structure, but they were still the backbone of a city. With so many lost during a Military Command mission, someone had to take the blame.

Jensen sighed inwardly. At least, Alan had survived

Otherwise, this general would have single–handedly torn both cities apart in search of answers.

But the current reality was already grim beyond measure.

A large number of S–rank Awakened had been killed or injured, and that included the SS–rank Theodore
