Reborii Apocalypse Roody. War Goddess by My Side

Chapter 241 Wrong Idea

Elliot’s composure exacked completely.

He slapped his palm against his knee.

“That’s exactly right.”

Finished

He grabbed both of Autumn’s hands with barely contained excitement. “Autumn, you are genuinely brilliant.”

The sudden contact sent a faint flush rising to Autumn’s cheeks.

“Elliot, calm down a little. I’m just doing what I’m supposed to do

Elliot registered the distance between them.

He noticed certain things in his immediate line of sight that he probably shouldn’t dwell on.

He cleared his throat with deliberate composure. “Right. I got a little carried away.”

“Keep going.”

Autumn made a soft sound of acknowledgment.

Getting closer to Elliot had its advantages. The right positioning now would make her indispensable later.

Autumn kept her voice measured and precise. “If my read on the situation is correct, then Elliot, you actually have a clear opening right now.”

Elliot’s eyes sharpened with focused interest.

“Walk me through it.”

Autumn laid it out carefully. “You still can’t approach Bianca with your actual intentions showing. The angle has to shift entirely. Come at it from the direction of helping her.

“Start by using the family’s resources to investigate what really happened to Steven. Give Bianca something real and useful.

“Let that help build trust gradually, without ever letting her see that your real goal is her. The moment she senses that, it’s over.

“And Elliot, you need to push your own evolution harder. Closing the distance between your rank and hers is the only way she’ll ever see you as someone worth standing beside.”

The two of them bent their heads together and worked through the details in quiet, precise conversation.

Outside the city walls, Lars stood over the body the Bloodmoon Demon Wolf dragged back, and the expression on his face was dark enough to extinguish light.

Wrong Idea

Rupert was dead.

Which meant Seth was almost certainly dead too, and the warg along with him.

The fury building in Lars’s chest burned like something bottomless and uncontrolled.

“I underestimated you, Alan.”

Lars‘ eyes went very still and very dangerous.

“Boss. Rupert left a message.”

The group gathered to read it together.

“Be careful. He’s mastered wind…”

Finished

Four more days passed.

On the morning of the fourth, Steven pulled up his panel and read through it carefully.

Just move slowly. Give me the time.

That confirmed what Steven suspected.

At B–rank Two–Sigil, each level required 400 divine crystals, or 40 level 1 beast crystals.

That was twenty times the cost compared to One–Sigil.

The only reason this was manageable at all was that his absorption speed had reached a point that defied ordinary expectations. Without it, the beast–type Divine Sigil’s advancement pace would’ve been impossible to sustain.

But everything was trending upward.

Chapter 244 Wrong Idea

Steven drew a deep, grounding breath.

Just move slowly.

He stepped out of the safehouse.

The squad was already waiting.

Finished

Now that everyone knew about his SSS–rank, there was an unspoken willingness to give Steven whatever time he needed.

Every level he climbed made the whole group stronger and safer, and an SSS–rank’s presence offered a kind of security nobody else in the squad could provide.

Peter smiled as Steven came out. “You’re the last one.”

Steven gave a calm, easy nod. “Let’s move.”

Alan’s voice was level and unhurried. “We plant the seventh Celestial Eye today. Move out.”

44

The squad fell into formation and pressed forward.

The past several days had been quiet by comparison, with no massive coordinated beast attacks sweeping in to test their defenses.
