Chapter 228 Quantum Barrier

“Found them!!!”

Fintsfred

Rupert looked at the screen showing an armored car being destroyed.

A cold smile appeared on his face.

“See? It’s working. As long as they keep using armored cars, I can trap every last one of them here!

“I’d like to see how they’re going to get out of this.”

Seth asked, “They shouldn’t be able to find us from this distance, right?”

Rupert let out a mocking laugh. “Their device can only cover three miles at most. Besides, they don’t have the time to search for us right now.”

Seth said worriedly, “What if they ask the Draconia military’s Sentinel Eye for help?”

Rupert shook his head. “The Sentinel Eye isn’t something they can use whenever they want. If they do get access to it, then I’ll just call it bad luck. I’ll wait for another chance.”

Seth nodded.

Rupert stared at the screen and sneered. “They’re putting away the armored cars. Once they do that, they’re as good as dead.”

At the center of the battlefield, Alan and his team had already lost one armored car. The remaining cars had all suffered different levels of damage. If they didn’t put them away now, every single car would end up destroyed.

Even though they still had two backup armored cars, they couldn’t afford to keep wasting them like this. The moment Alan jumped out of the armored car, he instantly unleashed his four–sigfl pattern power.

The Darknight Asura tore through the battlefield.

Those flashes of blade light instantly cleared out a whole area, buying time for his teammates.

The others leaped out as well and threw themselves into the bloody fight.

Everyone formed a protective circle around Darlene and Olivia in the center.

They fought like mad.

Alan and Edric were the deadliest among them.

They carved a bloody path straight through the battlefield.

Now they were completely surrounded.

Beasts poured in from every direction like a flood.

“Olivia, check how many level 4 beasts there are!”

Olivia’s hands moved nonstop as she worked

“Eight!”

The moment they heard that number, everyone’s heart shook.

There were actually eight level 4 beasts lurking behind the horde, waiting for the perfect chance to strike!

Alan’s expression didn’t change.

He simply shouted, “Get ready. Leave them to me! I’ll handle the leader. Prepare for all–out combat!”

The moment they heard the signal, all of his teammates understood.

“Got it!”

“Understood!”

Alan charged through the battlefield, cutting down beasts in every direction.

Meanwhile, Olivia and the others threw out a special piece of equipment.

It was a steel ring 100 feet in diameter that surrounded their entire group.

The instant it hit the ground, a wall of light rose from it, resembling a miniature Divine Barrier.

Quantum Barrier!

It could create a small safe zone, though only for a limited time. The base units could also be destroyed if the beasts figured out how it worked.

Any beast that touched the Quantum Barrier would be burned, or even cut apart and killed.

Even so, countless beasts still forced their way through this miniature Divine Barrier and lunged at the

team.

This time, they might really lose someone.

They had been fighting nonstop for nearly half an hour.

Alan had already killed four level 4 beasts, along with countless level 3 and level 2 beasts.

Back on Steven’s side, Olivia suddenly shouted, “The Quantum Barrier is about to fail! Everyone, get ready!”

Everyone’s heart tightened.

In just a little over ten seconds, the Quantum Barrier completely broke down.

They were exposed to the beasts with no protection left.

The endless horde surged toward them like a tidal wave.

Edric let out a furious roar. “Kill them!”

Chapter 228 Curatum Bartier

Firestored

The teammates all shouted back in fury.

One after another, they unleashed their sigil pattern power.

Theo. Nicole, Olivia, and Darlene all pulled out origin crystal cannons and began firing nonstop.

Edric’s four–sigil pattern power wasn’t designed for large–scale attacks.

Instead, it was an ability that continuously increased his speed and killing power.

He became like a shadow assassin. His movements were so fast that all anyone could see were flashes of sword light.

Wherever those flashes appeared, beasts dropped dead.
