Chapter 188 Opening Up
Gold light!
Bianca threw the blanket off.
She stared at Steven’s chest in disbelief.
Of course, she knew what the golden light meant.
She had that same light herself.
It was the light unique to SSS rank.
Why does Steven have it?
Isn’t he supposed to only have a B–rank Wind–Fire Divine Sigil?
Bianca suddenly looked up at Steven and met his eyes.
“Steven, what…”
Her gaze darted back and forth between Steven’s chest and his face.
She could hardly believe what she was seeing.
Steven wore a gentle smile, and that brilliant golden light gave him an almost sacred aura.
Steven said calmly, “This is the secret I wanted to tell you. The truth is, I’m SSS–rank too.”
Bianca’s eyes widened as a storm crashed through her heart.
Steven is actually SSS–rank too.
Then why did his Divine Awakening…
“The Divine Awakening…”
Steven smiled and shook his head. “That involves another issue. I’ll explain it to you bit by bit”
But before Steven could speak, Bianca’s delicate body began trembling An emotion she had held back for far too long suddenly broke loose.
There was hurt, frustration, excitement, and overwhelming joy
Bianca threw her arms around Steven and tumbling back onto the bed with hum, her evey res
Her whole body trembled faintly
Her voice came out choked.
“That’s… great… It’s awesome…”

Steven froze. What’s going on?
“Bianca?”
He didn’t understand why Bianca had suddenly started crying.
Shouldn’t she be happy?
Steven was pinned beneath Bianca.
He felt the softness of her body, but he also heard her quiet sobs.
“Bianca, why are you crying?”
Bianca’s choked voice reached him. “I… I’m happy.”
Bianca slowly pushed herself up, the two of them one above the other.
Her long hair fell like a curtain on both sides of Steven’s face.
Steven could clearly see the bright tears in her eyes and the smile on her lips.
So those are happy tears?
“Steven, do you know how many times I’ve wondered if I could keep holding on to liking you?
“Because everyone would try to stop us from being together, just because I’m SSS–rank and you were B-
rank.
“I was so scared that one day, certain people would/do everything they could to tear us apart. I was also scared they would use your life to force us apart.
“If that ever happened, I think I’d break.”
Steven froze.
I’m such an idiot.
I left her alone with all that pressure in her heart
If everyone else could think of it, how could Bianca not think of it toot
And with so many people whispering it in her car, how could she not worry?
12:10 pm
Yet I kept hiding it from her. I should have told her long ago.
Steven lifted both hands and gently pulled her down.
He let her lie against him.
He held her head against his shoulder and wrapped/his arms around her.
Then he whispered in her ear, “In this life, no one can separate us. I’m going to stay with you for the rest of my life. And the next life. And the life after that.”
Bianca lay against Steven, feeling his heartbeat.
In that moment, their hearts seemed pressed tightly together, beating as one, their rhythm slowly falling into sync.
Nothing could ever separate them again.
“Steven, I like you. I really, really like you.”
Steven breathed in the soft milky scent on her skin.
He gently held her face and looked into her tender eyes.
He gazed at her deeply.
“I really like you too.”
Their lips met, warm and soft, and neither of them wanted to pull away for a long time

Somehow, the two of the had ended up lying against the headboard.
But at least their clothes were still on.
Bianca’s cheeks were flushed as she lay quietly in Steven’s arms.
“Steven, is it really uncomfortable for boys when it gets like this?”
Steven’s face reddened, and he coughed twice.
“It’s fine. I can handle it. We’re both still in the early stages of evolution, so we can’t mess around.”
