Ever since everyone completed Divine Awakening, the gap between the ranks had become obvious. An A- rank Awakened was simply stronger than a B–rank. That was common knowledge.

“Oscar! If four A–ranks can’t even take down one B–rank, you’ll make all of us look bad!”

“Teach that cocky idiot a lesson!”

Oscar gave a cold, vicious grin. “Mr. Fox, Ms. Franklin, you both heard him. He brought this on himself.”

The four of them laughed mockingly.

Steven stood calmly with one hand behind his back, looking completely relaxed. “Come on,” he said. “If I use two hands, I lose.”

The entire crowd went silent. Everyone stared at him in disbelief.

Was this guy out of his mind?

One hand?

“What an arrogant jerk! We need to teach him a lesson.”

“Yeah! Someone wipe that smug look off his face!”

“He really thinks he’s untouchable!”

The A–rank students exploded with angry shouting.

Meanwhile, the B–rank students stayed unusually quiet. Was Steven seriously pushing things too far just to look cool?

Chad quietly grabbed Luke and Seamus, then shot them a look.

The two instantly understood what he meant.

If Steven showed any sign of losing, they would jump in without hesitation.

Even Wendy stayed silent. Steven had made the challenge himself, so there was no easy way for her to step in now.

Still, she could not help feeling curious. What exactly was so special about Steven that Frank had singled him out? How had he managed to make an SSS–rank genius like Bianca care about him that much?

The surrounding students quickly backed away and cleared a large space.

Oscar and his gang wasted no time.

“Guys! Get him!”

The four rushed forward together.

Purple light flashed around their bodies as they activated their Divine Sigils. Their fists came swinging toward Steven with fierce momentum.

To everyone watching, Steven was about to get crushed.

Before anyone could react, the four figures suddenly flew backward as if a speeding truck had struck them.

Screams rang out one after another.

The crowd froze.

Nobody understood what had just happened.

The crowd had not even processed the scene yet.

Oscar and the others were already sprawled across the ground, rolling around in pain. Blood dripped from the corners of their mouths, and their swollen faces had turned bright red.

“What just happened? Somebody explain it to me! I only blinked for a second!”

“I didn’t even see him move!”

“Did somebody help him?”

The shocked students all turned toward the teachers.

The two instructors looked unusually serious.

A moment ago, Steven had swung out one casual slap.

That single strike hit all four students at once and sent them flying backward. They crashed onto the ground, coughing blood.

The sheer strength behind it was already terrifying. But his speed was even more unbelievable.

That was not power a B–rank should have had. Especially not someone who had only recently gone through Divine Awakening.

Before the crowd could recover from the shock, Steven had already walked forward again.

Smack!

Another sharp slap rang out.

“You think you can bully my friends?”

Oscar’s roommate was instantly knocked dizzy.

One of his front teeth flew out, and his mind went blank from the hit. He could barely stay standing.

The entire area fell silent.

No one dared make a sound anymore.

The fight had been a complete beatdown from beginning to end. Oscar and his group never even had the chance to fight back. Watching Steven crush them felt like watching an adult walk into a playground fight.

Oscar was barely conscious now.

Even Ivor’s expression looked awful.

“Stop!” he barked angrily. “That’s enough! They’ve already lost the ability to fight back!”

Steven glanced toward Wendy.

Wendy gave a small nod. That was enough. They could not actually kill anybody at the academy.

Still, she had to admit it.

Steven’s style suited her perfectly.

Steven grabbed Oscar again and dragged him close until their faces were only inches apart

Steven’s voice turned ice–cold. “If this had happened outside the academy, you’d already be dead. And if you still want to come after me, go ahead. You’ll end up just like Timothy, I don’t mind sending you straight to hell.”

Oscar’s eyes widened instantly.

He knew!

The next second, Steven threw him away.

Oscar slammed into the ground like a broken stray dog, his body twitching nonstop.

Steven turned and shouted coldly, “Let’s go!”
