Chapter 658: Chapter 658: Get Lost

That night, Chloe Reed returned to her hospital room to rest. The next morning, she took a plane directly to Nancastle.

When they got to the airport, Nathaniel Monroe couldn’t help but ask, "Chloe, why didn’t you have dinner with Walker?"

Chloe Reed’s expression was impassive as she typed on her phone. "I don’t have an appetite. I don’t want to eat."

Nathaniel Monroe immediately asked with concern, "Are you not feeling well?"

Chloe Reed shook her head.

Nathaniel Monroe rubbed his nose and looked at her, seeming to want to say something but holding back.

Chloe Reed eyed him skeptically, the blatant confusion on her face seeming to ask, ’If you have something to say, just spit it out.’

"Ahem."

Nathaniel Monroe cleared his throat and said, "This is just a guess, but did you two have a fight? Walker was in a really bad mood today, too. I didn’t even dare to speak during dinner."

Upon hearing this, Chloe Reed was taken aback for a moment before a small smile appeared. She lowered her gaze and typed on her phone, and an electronic female voice rang out, "We didn’t fight. His mood swings are nothing new. Aren’t you used to it by now?"

Nathaniel Monroe was speechless.

’Is that really how it is?’

「Three hours later」

The plane landed in Nancastle.

The weather there was quite warm, and Chloe Reed felt hot even in just a shirt.

She looked over at Nathaniel Monroe.

Nathaniel Monroe took out his phone, looking at the information Dylan Finch had sent. "Fiona Linton lives in a fishing village by the sea," he said. "For this address, we’ll have to drive."

Chloe Reed nodded.

Nathaniel Monroe arranged for a rental car, and Daniel Hayes drove. They followed the route on the GPS.

As they drew nearer, Chloe Reed couldn’t help but grow anxious.

"Walker, we’ve landed."

Daniel Hayes was speechless.

He gritted his teeth, but ultimately said no more and backed down.

"Chloe."

Walker Grant said her name, his tone softening in an instant.

Chloe Reed was already typing on her phone. A cold, electronic female voice rang out, "What do you want?"

Walker Grant let out a low chuckle. "I want to hear your voice," he said.

"Get lost."

Though it was an electronic voice, Walker Grant could somehow hear the cadence that was uniquely hers.

"Alright."

He agreed, then hung up the phone.
