Chapter 635: Chapter 635: Rage

"Mmm."

Walker Grant turned his head to face him, his expression now completely devoid of any weakness or vulnerability.

He asked coolly, "What’s the word from William Quinn?"

Dylan Finch said, "Mr. Quinn hasn’t responded."

"Heh..."

Walker Grant scoffed. "It seems he’s looking for trouble."

Dylan Finch asked, "Should we leak Mr. Quinn’s current location, then?"

Walker Grant said coldly, "Give him one last warning. If he refuses to take this chance, then leak it."

"Yes."

Dylan Finch acknowledged the order and promptly left the hospital room.

...

「Across the ocean.」

A helicopter landed on the island’s helipad.

The cabin door opened. The wind whipped at the man’s clothes and tossed his short hair into a messy state.

The man was tall with long legs. He wore sunglasses, and his features were exceptionally sharp, but an aura of sinister anger clung to him.

He strode off the helipad, got straight into a car, and sped off toward a castle situated not far away.

Just then, his phone pinged. It was an email. He glanced at it, but when he saw the sender was Walker Grant, he slammed on the brakes.

He rolled down the window, letting the sea breeze rush in and blow away some of the suffocating frustration that had enveloped him.

Then, he picked up his phone to check the email.

There were three emails in total. The first two were asking about Vera Holloway and a mysterious mercenary. The last one was a threat: if he didn’t reply, they would expose his location.

"Dammit."

William Quinn cursed under his breath, ripped off his sunglasses, and tossed them aside before starting to reply to the email.

Once he was done, he shut off his phone, started the car again, and sped toward the castle.

The closer he got to the castle, the more fiercely the rage burned in his chest.

When the luxury sports car screeched to a halt at the castle entrance, he slammed the door shut and strode inside.

No one answered.

The vast castle seemed to have emptied overnight.

For some reason, a sense of fear began to grow in Iris’s heart.

’No way.’

’They’re all gone?’

’Did they just leave me here all alone?’

’What am I going to do?’

’I’m going to starve to death alone on this island, aren’t I?’

The delayed pain from her finger finally registered, pulling her attention back to the present. She decided to find some paper to wrap the wound for now.

She started rummaging through drawers and cabinets.

Just then, the door to the room was pushed open.

Hearing the sound, her heart leaped with joy. She turned around, saying, "Someone’s finally here! Where’s the first-aid kit?"
