No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 841

Seeing his eager look, Scarlett hurried to speak, "Damian, I mean we need to head back home, not carry on once we get there."

Her voice faded to a whisper, and her cheeks burned bright red.

Damian looked down at her, a soft smile lingering on his face.

Realizing she was only digging herself deeper with her words, Scarlett decided to stop explaining.

Noticing her gown slipping off her shoulder, Damian reached out to pull it back into place. "I know what you mean. I won't tease you anymore. Rest a little longer, and I'll go up front to drive."

Seeing he had dropped his playful act, Scarlett nodded gently. "Alright."

Damian kissed her forehead. He was about to step out of the car when a thought suddenly crossed his mind.

He shut the door again and bent down to pick up the phone lying on the floor. The screen showed two unread messages on the messaging app, sparking his curiosity about who had sent them.

He held the phone out to her. "Someone messaged you. Want to check it?"

Confused, Scarlett took the device. After unlocking the screen, she found the messages were from Vincent.

Though burning with curiosity, Damian did not lean over to peek. He turned his head away, pretending not to care, yet he could barely contain his restlessness.

Scarlett read the messages and watched the attached video. She was stunned to see how violently the car had shaken from an outside perspective. A worried thought crossed her mind. What if paparazzi caught sight of us? Damian is a prominent figure in Rivergate, and footage like this will be worth a fortune.

The thought made her feel flustered. It dawned on her that she had not even stopped to consider how Vincent must feel.

Damian kept his gaze averted, but he caught sight of her dazed expression reflected in the car window. He turned back at once, feigning casualness. "Who's the message from?"

Scarlett fell quiet for a moment, then gave a quiet reply. "Yes."

A wide, genuine smile spread across Damian's lips. He reached for her cold hands and laced his fingers with hers. "I'm not afraid of him either. Let him act out if he wants. With me here, he can never hurt the Theron family or you."

His words put her at ease. She nodded. "I know."

Damian was just about to move to the driver's seat when his own phone rang out of the blue. He glanced at the screen and saw the caller was Zachary.

After a moment's hesitation, he answered the call. As he tapped the accept button, he pulled Scarlett onto his lap.

Zachary's voice came through the line. "Don't tell me you've actually forgotten what today is?"

Damian's eyes lingered on Scarlett's lips. A restless longing tugged at his heart, making him crave a kiss. He held himself back, however, and focused on the reminder Zachary had given him.
