No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 797

Sabrina stroked Vanessa's hair with a soft smile. "Anything you picked out is bound to taste amazing."

Vanessa giggled, then glanced up to spot Vincent walking down the staircase. She sat up straight and called out gently, "Dad."

"Mm," Vincent replied as he crossed over to the sofa and sat down, his gaze fixed steadily on the little girl. "I need to talk to you about something."

The serious tone made Vanessa drop her playful mood. "Okay."

"Come upstairs with me," Vincent stood and said.

Vanessa glanced toward Sabrina before reluctantly pushing herself up and following him upstairs.

The study door stood open; she stepped inside to find Vincent facing away from the doorway. After a small pause, she spoke quietly, "Dad?"

Vincent turned around and smiled, settling behind his desk. "Have a seat."

Vanessa scrambled up onto the chair across from him, her clumsy movement pulling a faint chuckle from Vincent.

Once settled, she tilted her head. "What's going on?"

Vincent thought briefly before asking, "Would you be upset if I married Sabrina?"

Vanessa's face lit up instantly. "I'd be over the moon, not upset at all!"

Vincent continued, "What if Sabrina and I have our own baby someday?"

Vanessa frowned and mulled it over carefully. "Would you stop loving me then?"

Vincent said quickly, "Never. My love for you won't ever change."

She relaxed and grinned, "Then it's fine. When your baby grows up, I'll have one more person to play with. I'd be happy."

Vincent ruffled her hair. "So you're okay with us getting married?"

Vanessa nodded hard. "Yep!"

Damian let it go once he saw Scarlett had no interest in further plans.

Right then, Scarlett turned toward Felix. "Can I have a quick private word with you?"

Both Damian and Felix looked caught off guard. Felix hesitated and shot a questioning glance at Damian.

When Damian caught his glance, he snapped, "If you want to say yes, say yes. If you don't, then don't. Why are you looking at me?"

With a helpless shrug, Felix nodded at Scarlett. "Sure."

Scarlett asked Claire to keep an eye on Clara while she stepped toward the roadside nearby, Felix trailing after her after a moment's hesitation.

When they came to a stop by the curb, Scarlett twisted to face him, picking her words carefully. "I just need to ask you a few questions, Mr. Wilson."

Felix smiled mildly at her polite demeanor. "Fire away. You're Damian's fiancée, and Eric really likes you. I'll answer every question I can."

Scarlett gave a small, polite smile and got straight to the point. "A couple of days ago, Vincent came to see me. He had me sign a new divorce agreement, and we went to the Courthouse. But the staff told us our waiting period had already passed a month ago, and since we didn't finalize the divorce during that month, we have to start the whole process over. Mr. Wilson, is there any way to avoid that complicated process?"
