No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 732

Knowing there was no point obsessing over things she couldn't control, Scarlett forced herself to stop thinking about it and followed Damian up the courthouse steps.

By the time they reached the top, the two of them appeared at the courthouse entrance hand in hand, and almost immediately, they saw Vincent standing outside smoking.

Vincent saw them at the same moment.

He stood beneath the pale afternoon sunlight while thin streams of smoke curled around him, his narrowed eyes landing directly on the hands Damian and Scarlett had clasped together.

The instant Scarlett noticed where he was looking, she instinctively tried pulling her hand away.

It wasn't because she was afraid of Vincent seeing them together. She just worried that if he saw it, he would become even more unwilling to agree to the divorce.

Even after being married to him for years, Scarlett still couldn't fully figure out what kind of person Vincent really was.

Before she could pull away completely, Damian leaned slightly closer and calmly took her hand again.

This time, he held it firmly while smiling at her. "He already saw us, so why are you acting like we're sneaking around?"

Scarlett had no response to that.

In the end, she stopped resisting and simply let him keep holding her hand.

When Vincent saw the intimacy between them, the coldness in his eyes deepened instantly. He threw his cigarette onto the ground, crushed it beneath his shoe, then let out a short, humorless laugh before walking straight into the courthouse lobby without saying a word.

Inside, Felix had already arrived.

The moment he noticed Damian and Scarlett walking in together hand in hand, he instinctively looked away for a second before grabbing his briefcase and saying, "Come on. The hearing's about to start."

Once everyone was seated, the hearing officially began.

After proceedings started, Felix submitted all the evidence they had prepared to the judge.

The evidence regarding Vincent's affair and the breakdown of the marriage had been organized thoroughly and clearly.

After reviewing the documents, the judge looked toward Vincent. "Do you contest any of this?"

Vincent stood slowly from his seat. "Yes, I do."

After answering, he turned his gaze directly toward Scarlett. "She's the one cheating, not me. Sabrina and I never crossed any lines. But as for her and Damian, can they really say the same?"

Hearing that, Scarlett immediately stood up. "Vincent, you..."

Before she could finish speaking, Damian rose beside her and pulled her hand back into his, his expression openly challenging as he looked at Vincent. "No, we can't. So what?"

Vincent spread his hands slightly before turning toward the judge. "There you go. I don't think I need to explain anything else."

The judge looked at Vincent calmly. "Affairs may be morally questionable, but they are not criminal matters. What I'm asking is whether you agree to the divorce."

"Vincent, can we talk?"

Vincent stopped walking.

It almost looked like he struggled with himself internally for a brief moment before finally turning around to face her. "What do you want to talk about?"

Scarlett stepped away from her seat and walked over until she stood directly in front of him.

"What's the point of doing this?" she asked, unable to hide the frustration in her voice. "What do you gain from dragging this out for another six months? No matter what happens, this still ends the same way."

Vincent also stepped closer.

Lowering his eyes toward her face, he slowly studied her expression without answering her question immediately.

Instead, he asked quietly, "Tell me something first. Have you slept with Damian yet?"

Scarlett met his gaze directly, neither avoiding him nor looking guilty. "Vincent, what exactly are you trying to say?"

A faint smile slowly curved at the corner of Vincent's lips.

"If you already have," he said evenly, "then I'll agree to the divorce."
