No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 707

Lily's voice came through the phone, "The ambulance was from General Hospital."

Vincent's foot pressed down harder on the gas.

The engine growled as he replied, "Got it. I'm on my way."

He ended the call and focused on the road, heading straight for General Hospital.

Sabrina felt like she was floating on a cloud—light, detached, as if she might drift away any moment.

But somewhere in the haze, a voice kept calling her name.

"Sabrina... Sabrina..."

It was familiar, persistent, pulling her back.

Gradually, the voice grew clearer, until her eyes snapped open.

The world slowly came into focus. White walls, the faint smell of antiseptic—a hospital room. And beside her, a figure she recognized immediately: Vincent.

She turned her head slightly to look at him. The tension in his brow eased the moment he saw she was awake.

Sabrina opened her mouth to speak, but her throat was bone-dry. No sound came out.

Then Vincent spoke, his tone cool and detached. "You're awake. I need to go."

She finally managed a whisper, anxiety tightening her voice, "Are you still angry with me?"

He didn't offer an explanation. "Something urgent came up. We'll talk later."

Without another word, he turned and walked out of the room.

Sabrina lay still in the hospital bed. Part of her wanted to call him back—but then she remembered what Maria had said, and she bit her lip, holding the words in.

Even if she called out now, it wouldn't make him stay.

When Scarlett came to, the room was completely dark. As her eyes adjusted, she could make out thin slivers of light here and there—probably from streetlights outside.

She tried to move, but her wrists were tied tightly to a metal support beam. Duct tape covered her mouth. She attempted to yell, but only muffled whimpers escaped.

Outside the door, she could hear men talking.

"Man, she's hot. We're really just gonna dump her in the river? What a waste."

She fought back, twisting and pushing, but it only seemed to excite them more.

"Relax, sweetheart. Do us this last favor. You don't wanna leave us all worked up like this, do you?"

"Yeah, let us show you a good time. You might even like it."

Tears streamed down her face. She hugged her arms over her chest, voice trembling. "Please... let me go. I'll pay you—anything you want. I mean it..."

But they acted as if they hadn't heard, their grip rough and impatient.

Someone shoved her hard onto the concrete floor. A hand clamped over the wound on her leg, sending sharp pain shooting through her. She bit back a cry.

She swatted at their hands, left and right, but there were too many. One of them gripped the front of her shirt—a hard tug would tear it right off.

Just then, the sound of running footsteps came from outside.

A loud crash echoed through the space as the door flew inward, slamming flat onto the ground. Dust swirled in the dim light.

Damian stood in the doorway, more than a dozen men behind him.

The group surrounding Scarlett froze, faces going pale as they stared at the sudden intrusion. They looked like they'd seen a ghost.

The scar-faced man released Scarlett, his voice shaky with disbelief. "Damian?"
