Noelle had wanted to save everyone at first. However, ever since she went to that party with Emma and witnessed just how greedy and calculating those people were, she gave up on the idea completely.
Alfred smiled and said, "Exactly. As they say, you can't save those who are determined to destroy themselves. To them, you're just cutting off their money source. Who knows how they're cursing you behind your back?"
Noelle replied, "Yeah, so now I've come to terms with it. However, we've gathered almost all the necessary investigation materials.
"When they close the net and transfer the stolen money, both domestic and international police will move simultaneously to make arrests." She chuckled and added, "It's almost over."
Alfred responded, "Yes, they'll probably close the net after the New Year because that's when PZ Group's interest payments are due. So far, PZ Group's investment project amounts have reached tens of billions of dollars, with massive sums involved."
He couldn't help but sigh. "We work ourselves to death getting projects to go public and still can't make this much money. PZ Group has just pulled this con game and managed to scam others into giving them a significant amount of money in just two years. It was no wonder so many people take such risks."
Noelle said, "But money obtained through fraud is never legitimate, and sooner or later, they'll get caught."
Alfred nodded. "You're right. This woman is truly vicious, scamming so many people. If you hadn't suspected Ivy, we'd probably still be in the dark about all this."
Noelle nodded. "I guess that's what they call a woman's intuition."
"Nelly, after this whole thing is over, are you and Ced finally going to tie the knot?"
Noelle's expression became somewhat unnatural. "You're thinking too much." After saying this, she turned and left the office.
Alfred's voice followed her from behind. "Remember to send me an invitation when the time comes. I'm a witness to your love story!"
Noelle quickened her pace as she left. After handling company matters, she went directly to the hospital, as Mia could be discharged that day.
